Blue boxes are open to all, orange is available to partners) In its simplest form, Developer Center is a web portal designed to provide all the resources necessary to build SDDC solutions It’s specifically targeted at “DevOps” users (“DevOps” is another way of saying, “Developer-Admin”). The site Provides SDKs, API references, and all the tools and documentation developers need. Developers can also get access to Blogs, Community forums and sample code. In addition, we’ve recently added the ability for certain power-users in the community to link their open source github repositories to relevant SDKs. These show up in the “Other Resources” area of the SDK pages and are a very powerful way for the community to provide scripts and samples to help other developers. The site also has numerous Architecture diagrams that help new developers understand the landscape and find the right SDK for what they want to do. The diagrams are dynamic and clickable. Hover the mouse over them and learn about the objects in the diagram. Some you can click on and drill down further. The orange boxes on the right show additional, personalized content that **partners** get to see once they’ve logged in using their “My VMware” credentials. Prior to logging in, all visitors can see a list of the programs offered and learn about what each provides. However, access to the assets requires a login. Once logged in, Partners can see all the gated SDKs they’re entitled to (as defined by the programs they’ve joined) as well as all the certification kits they have access to. If they’re a member of a program that has a private forum, they’ll see that as well. A new “My Home“ screen will give partners a single pane of glass from which to access all their content, communities, projects, etc. Also integrated into Developer Center is ‘DCPN’, the Developer Center Partner Network. This is a place where Partners can file and track issues with Vmware. And lastly, Developer Center now has a Twitter channel. You can follow it AT VMWARE DEV CENTER
