Reporting into the CTO and working in the HQ in Central London as VP Engineering you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a group of 160 people. As VP Engineering you will operate alongside key stakeholders to include a VP Programmes and a VP Business. Your group is responsible for delivering the entire technology platform underpinning this company’s successful range of products and services. The company is a B2C provider operating in the media sector deploying web and mobile products and services. As VP Engineering you are tasks with a continued change management program to lead and inspire the team of 160 people. With a background steeped in technology you will lead the technology efforts to reengineer and architect scalable and robust cloud based service with an emphasis on quality. The group operates an agile methodology using both Scrum and Kanban and it is your responsibility to ensure the engineering group understand principles like TDD, BDD, Continuous deployment and integration. You will implement structural changes to the team to ensure the design, build, deployment, test, ops and release teams are automated, using best practices and processes.
