- 1. Vacuum Ovens Large Capacity The SHEL LAB Model SVAC9-2 includes a Watlow temperature controller that can be programmed to perform multiple ramp and soak profiles. A digital vacuum gauge shows chamber vacuum level in measurements of Torr and m/ Torr. The display range is 760 Torr down to 0 mil Torr. A secondary independent high limit controller provides overtemperature safety protection. This unit includes true vacuum valves and has cross-flow ventilation within the oven chamber to enhance total performance. The vacuum oven is secured to a ruggedly constructed mobile stand to create a vacuum pump at the base. Although the oven is not supplied with a vacuum pump, all vacuum plumbing and KF25 connections are provided. While these gaskets resist a wide variety of temperatures and pressures, they can breakdown in the presence of solvents and acids. For solvent applications, we recommend using Buna gaskets. For acidic applications, we recommend using Fluorosilicone or Viton® gaskets.
