Installing sole plates, bearing pedestals, turbine and generator setting the elevation and prepping them to be grouted in. Doing horn loads to calculate the weight of the insulation to have the keys machined to the thickness that is needed. Checking the clearness of the blade tips of the LP and gas turbines with filler gauges and doing a run out with dial indicators and also the oil boar the thrust and turning gear and Exciter. Helping to assist the General Forman and Forman with problem solving and with the crew on job tasks keeping a daily log book of the work and readings that was done for the day. Rigging equipment to be moved or installed with the Crain. Installing new motors and pumps checking for pipe stress and alignments to be sold off to the QC and Siemens.
- 2. Pan Pacific August 2013-July2015 Journeyman Millwright Fabricate, installation and coming up with ideas on new and exciting equipment for better performance. Changing bearings, motors, belts, rebuilding pumps, valves, hydraulic cylinders, replacing piping, airlines and also changing out conveyer belts and realigning them. Doing daily and weekly maintenance on the sanders, saw line and hydraulic system. Working with my superintendent and engineer on scheduling and planning of shut downs on ordering parts for the equipment that I wasover. TurboCare Apr 2013 –August 2013 Journeyman Millwright Replacement of the HP/LP shell on a 125 megawatt steam turbine. Rebuilding of the Stop, Control, and Intercept Valves. Changed out all the packing on the upper and lower cases and performed wire alignment and step checks to verify and set the location of diaphragms and packing boxes. Scraped all the seals to get within acceptable tolerances. Checked bearings and all clearances before final installation. Performed final alignment from HP to LP to Generator. MD&A Oct 2012 – Apr 2013 Journeyman Millwright Reassembly of a 750 megawatt steam turbine. Completion of bearing changes and alignments. Completion of valve work and pulled generator on 150 megawatt steam turbine. Frame 5 gas turbine major overhaul and rebuild. Changed out bearings on 950 megawatt steam turbine and completed machining to the journals. Used an ERAG machine to verify and set clearances. Jacobs Jan 2011 – Aug 2012 Journeyman Millwright Performed the setting of sole plates and various equipment to elevations and centerline per blueprint specifications. Used Rotalign Ultra for the various alignment, also used dial indicators where laser was not feasible. Performed checks for pipe stress and coordinated with the pipe department for the solutions. Member of the Safety Committee, dedicated to the entire work force and myself working safely. Shaw July 2010-Sep 2011 Journeyman Millwright Repaired and changed out pump and motors. Changed out piping and filters. Member of the Haz-Mat team and received all training involved in rescue of all personnel on site. Member of Safety Committee, dedicated to working safely. QCI Feb 2008-June 2010 *Ongoing employment on various projects starting in 2004 Journeyman Millwright Inspection of valves and repaired all the various valves involved with steam and gas turbines. Completed combustion inspection of various sizes of gas turbines. Replacement of bearings and piping. Set new sole plates along with pumps and motors. Completed alignment/realignments on several different motors and gas and steam turbines to generators or compressors. Installation of panels and disconnects for motors, field instruments and devices.
- 3. War Fab May 2007-Aug 2007 Journeyman Millwright 50K press rigging and hoisting out the cylinders. Installation of new equipment. Removal and reinstall new bushings and columns. Operation of Broderson crane to install new piping. Working with QC on torqueing flanges to specs with the use of hytorc. TCI 2004-2005 Journeyman Millwright Maintenance in paper mill. Installation of new machinery and new piping to and from tanks to machines. Setting and leveling of pumps and motors. Changing out valves, dryers and rollers on paper machines. All Seas 2003-2004 Journeyman Millwright Installation of new pipe lines on lay barge. Use of the overhead crane to move pipe around prepare pipe for welders. Performed all rigging.
