Google+ is a social media platform that allows for real-time collaboration and communication through features like status updates, links, circles of friends, messaging, and video chat hangouts. While Google+ has been around since the reviewer's high school days, it has not gained widespread popularity like Facebook, possibly because Facebook has dominated the social media landscape. However, Google+ could be useful for students and teachers to collaborate and communicate over breaks as well as with other classes and educators worldwide by sharing information, resources, and links, and asking questions.

- 1. WEB 2.0 Critique Google+ caught my eye on the list of websites. This is most definitely Web 2.0. It is free, allows for real- time, and allows for collaboration. Google+ is a social media site. It has been around since I was in high school, yet it still has not caught on in popular culture. This could be because it is out shone by Facebook a social media Giant that dominates that arena. To use Google+, you have to have a Google account. It is one of Google's apps. You post statuses, links, etc. It promotes collaboration by allowing you to have friends and circles of friends and family that you communicate through real time messaging. It also has a feature called hangout where you can video chat multiple people at the same time in real time. This is also a stage for collaboration. This could be a place for students and teachers could collaborate and communicate over breaks but also collaborate with different classes, students and teachers from around the world. It can also be a place to put information, resources, and links available to students. It’s also a place where they can ask questions.
