This course prepares students for careers in web design and e-commerce by teaching skills in web development, marketing, customer relations, and publishing commercial websites. Students will learn how to design websites, promote products online, analyze business-to-business concepts, evaluate site building software, implement usability testing and customer relationship management, secure transactions, optimize site performance, and publish commercial sites. The course covers topics needed for the CIW Web e-Commerce certification and provides hands-on experience in a lab environment simulating the web design industry.
