NARRATIVE WRITING Tells a story about a person. Tells about a real experience that happened to the writer.
Three types of narratives: personal, fictional and biographical
When you write a personal narrative, you can use first personal pronoun. Focus on your experiences, be descriptive about time and space, tell the experience why your experience is important.
When you write a biographical narrative, you tell the third person’s experience. You can interview the person. You can discuss why the experience was important for the person.
When you write a fictional narrative, you create a fictional character and write about his/her experiences.
Use clear and concise language throughout the essay.
Much like the descriptive essay, narrative essays are effective when the language is carefully, particularly, and artfully chosen. Use specific language to evoke specific emotions and senses in the reader.FILL OUT Personal AND SENSORY ChartCreate a chart for an important person in your family.
