Sub-Topic The Right things to do in the Computer Lab
Objectives At the end of the lesson, pupils are able to:
• Identify the Right things to do in the computer lab.
Teaching Materials • Computer.
• Computer Projector.
• ActivStudio Application and pen.
• Interactive Whiteboard.
• Discovering ICT Textbook Year 1 (pg 58).
• Internet Access.
• Teaching Blog: ict123.wordpress.com.
Lesson Contents • Lists of the Right Things to do in the Computer Lab:
 1. Sit down. Wait for the teacher’s instruction.
 2. Sit properly in front of your computer.
 3. Make sure your hands are clean and dry when you use the computer.
 4. Report any problems with your computer to the teacher.
 5. Shut down the computer properly.
 6. Keep the lab clean and tidy.
 7. You should always remove your shoes outside the computer room.
 8. Make a queue while going to the computer lab.
 9. Clean your computer with a soft, dry cloth.
 10. Keep a distance from the monitor to protect your eyes.
 11. Share the computer with your classmates.

• Ask the pupils to settle down.
• Addressed the class and verbally let them know today’s lesson.

(10 min)
• Explain on the 11 Right Things to do in the Computer Lab.
Pupil’s Activity
(15 min)
• PRACTICAL ACTIVITY:
• Teacher choose pupil individually.
• Pupil will tick ‘’ or ‘’ on a given activity sheet provided by teacher.
• They will use ActivStudio application and pen on IWB.
• WRITTEN ACTIVITY:
• Pupil will tick ‘’ or ‘’ on a given activity sheet provided by teacher.
Conclusion
(2 min)
• Teacher verbally asked the pupils whether they can identify on how to:
 1. Sit down. Wait for the teacher’s instruction.
 2. Sit properly in front of your computer.
