- 2. Who is this course for? This course is intended for a very wide audience of students planning to enter universities in Ukraine. Duration of the course – 4 weeks (one lesson per week).
- 3. What course “Welcome to study!” does for students… Week 1. Ukraine is a country of great possibilities Having received the information about a beautiful country – Ukraine, you’ll have an idea of what it’s like to live and study in Ukraine.
- 4. After performing the practical tasks (cases) relating to the topic 1 you will be able to: buy tickets on a train or a bus to get to Kharkov from Boryspil airport; order and pay for a room in a hotel if necessary; write a formal letter in the event of loss of your luggage during the flight.

Education for international students in Ukraine Having learned this information, you’ll get to know about the opportunities for people all over the world to study in Ukraine and assess the possibility of getting the recognition of Ukrainian diplomas of higher education around the world.
- 6. After performing the practical tasks (cases) relating to the topic 2 you will be able to: write a statement about legalization in Ukraine your educational documents received at home; make an appointment for obtaining the certificate; call and explain your specific educational information.
- 7. What course “Welcome to study!” does for students… Week 3. NTU "KhPI" is a world-known university with a world recognition You’ll get a detailed information about the faculties and departments of National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

After performing the practical tasks (cases) relating to the topic 3 you will be able to: search concerning your future profession in NTU "KhPI" according to your basic education, preferences and capabilities; fill out the form on the admission to our university; draw up requests for information for your future learning.
- 9. What course “Welcome to study!” does for students… Week 4. Kharkiv You’ll get to know about a city of Kharkiv, its transportation, its seven wonders, places to do your shopping, and have a good time, etc.
- 10. After performing the practical tasks (cases) relating to the topic 4 you will be able to: explain your wishes, requirements, living in Kharkov; book tickets to the theater, cinema, etc.; talk about your problems in the hospital; use the transport system of Kharkiv; rent an appartment, if necessary; buy essential goods.
- 11. And last, but not least! After taking the course you’ll get a certificate which will give you an advantage (5 % discount in tuition fees) when entering Kharkiv Polytechnic University (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Otherwise (if you even decide not to enter our university), you’ll have enough knowledge about Ukraine, the country of great possibilities.
