This document describes a study that examined the effects of a blended mentoring program on the perceived social support of novice nurse practitioners (NPs) transitioning to their new role. The study utilized a quasi-experimental pre-test/post-test design to compare NPs' perceived social support before and after participating in a 3-month blended mentoring program combining face-to-face and e-mentoring. The study found no statistically significant difference in perceived social support between the pre- and post-tests. While anecdotal evidence suggested mentoring may be valuable, the small sample size, short timeline, and limitations of the new pilot program prevented conclusions about the effectiveness of blended mentoring for supporting novice NPs' transition
