What have you learnt about new technologies from
• Photoshop is a graphics editing programme. Before I started
media A-level I had never used Photoshop but now I feel very
comfortable in using it I made all of my magazine on this
programme as it gave the magazine a more real effect than
say doing an article on Microsoft publisher.
• Photoshop gives the user a wide range of tools to use to
create different effects on writing, backgrounds and most
importantly for my magazine pictures. The text effects are
really useful and can really give the eye catching effect.
Whether that’s making the writing look 3D or putting a gradient
  over the top of it.
• Photoshop is very user friendly and after a while is really easy
to navigate. The good thing about Photoshop is that there is
always something new to add to a picture whether it is too
make it lighter or add a drop shadow in on the background.
• I had never blogged or used blogger before media A-level
but I can say it is fun to use and a great way to display
work. Uploading and showcasing your work on the
internet is a real easy way to get feedback as well as
accessing it as well. I had to regularly update my blog
with diary entries, feedback and my progress with my
  coursework.
• By posting the diary entries on the blog I can easily see
the stages I took to get to where I am now. This helps me
see how I am progressing with the work I have been
doing and also helps any readers gain an insight also.
• Media A-level introduced me to Prezi. Prezi is a great
alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint when presenting
information. It is a zooming presentation tool and can be
accessed through the web. I made a number of Prezi’s
like the one I made on codes and conventions of a music
  magazine.
• Instead of one individual slide you are given a huge page
to present on. You then create a path to what order you
want to display the information in and then it is ready to
  present.
• Prezi is really user friendly and can make any
presentation seem really interesting. It is laid out really
simplistically and really easy to grasp.
• Is a time line based video editing software application
system. This was particularly helpful when putting
together my audience feedback video and my question 1
video. The user friendliness of the software enabled me
to successfully put together short video’s at ease.
• I could easily import AVI videos I had made and edit the
footage no problem. All I had to do was order them. You
could also add in sound and commentary in the video
making it look almost like a short documentary. This
helped me broaden my use of different media products
  and therefore improve my skills
