SONY VEGAS When it came to the construction of my opening sequence we had upload our clips to the computer on to a movie editing software called Sony Vegas, this enabled me to put all the clips in the correct order, take out pieces I don’t need, this allows me to put different clips together in a logical order and so that it makes sense. One thing my film lacked was a wide variety of camera shots which when I was filming, I didn’t really think about what effect that I wanted and whether the camera shot I used portrayed that.

CAMERA AND LIGHTING One thing my film lacked was a wide variety of camera shots which when I was filming, I didn’t really think about what effect that I wanted and whether the camera shot I used portrayed that. If I were to film again I would try and think more thoroughly on the types of camera shots before hand rather than making it look very last minute and rough. In most films lighting plays a very important part, as it determines the mood and sets the scene. For example in a horror film the lighting is usually very low key, this is done to create an enigma and sense of unknown. In a romantic film, the lighting is normally quite high key and pure, although some use warm colours, like the ones you see with a sunset scene. However with my film this doesn’t apply, this is down to action films being considered a normal day where something has gone drastically wrong with someone or something. To start of with I found Sony Vegas quite difficult to work with as I couldn’t remember where all the different tools were, so it took me a little time to get used to. Throughout the editing of my opening sequence I didn’t experience any kind of problems, apart from when I came to render the opening sequence, where a problem occurred with the computer I was working on.
