CORE is a 9-week fall semester and 12-week spring semester program that meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm to promote biblical teachings and foundational spiritual growth. The fall semester covers topics like prayer, spiritual gifts, and spiritual warfare. The spring semester addresses the presence of God, foundations of faith, and spiritual maturity. Each session involves a group leader sharing on the weekly reading, small group discussions, and prayer. Participants must commit to the weekly readings and discussions for the success of the program and to receive a certificate of completion.
What is CORE?

- 3. Fall Semester Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 pm September 19th to November 28th (9-weeks) Spring Semester Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 pm January 9th to March 27th (12 weeks) There will be required weekly reading!
- 5. Fall Semester Chrysalis-Believers Guidebook Chrysalis covers the basis of conversion and being Holy Spirit filled and empowered. Subjects to be covered: 7 Steps to Focused Prayer, What are Spiritual Gifts, God’s Kingdom, Covenant Life
- 7. Fall Semester 21 Days to Breakthrough This segment will cover: Spiritual warfare How to renew your mind Learning how to walk in the Spirit This is based on Daniels 21 Day spiritual battle in Daniel 10:10-13
- 9. Fall Semester Discovering God’s Will A process for learning God’s will for your life. 7-key principles-in how we can know God’s will. Surrender, Peace, Discernment, God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, Reflection, Prayer, and Confirmation.
- 11. Spring Semester Presence The Practice of the Presence of God By Brother Lawrence who penned his thoughts in a little notebook while he was a cook and cleaner in a European Monastery. 7 suggestions of how we can practice being in God’s presence.
- 13. Spring Semester Foundations-Essentials of our Faith Foundations of Faith provides a step by step process of instruction designed to provide a basic overview of the essentials of our faith as presented in Hebrews 6:1-3 Repentance from Dead Works, Faith Toward God, Doctrine of Baptisms, Laying on of Hands, Resurrection of the Dead, Eternal Judgement, Perfection-Spiritual Maturity!
- 14. CORE format of each Wednesday night: Arrive at 6:30pm with a prompt class start at 6:45pm. We will end promptly at 8:00pm 1. The Group Leader will take 10-15 minutes to share on prior weeks reading 2. Divide into small groups for a group sharing on the prior weeks reading and discussion on personal application etc. 3. Prayer 4. Receive the next week’s reading assignment and close The success of this class will rely heavily on your attendance, your commitment to doing the reading assignments each week and your participation in the group discussion. We look forward to this being a great time of accelerated learning and of relationship building as we grow together! A certificate of completion will be given in March to those who have completed the course!
