The CFO is responsible for several key financial tasks:
1) Preparing accurate monthly financial statements by accounting for expenses, revenues, and accruals.
2) Forecasting cash flow by determining monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed and variable expenses as well as principal payments to calculate cash requirements.
3) Liaising with an outside CPA firm to prepare annual financial statements, assist with audits, and ensure proper tax planning, payments, and filings are completed.
