- 2. Meet Frantic. We will call her Fran for short. Fran Fran was just accepted into the Doctorate of Education Program! Now Fran keeps hearing words like…. Plan of Study Committee Portfolio Admission to CandidacyProspect us Dissertatio n Now Fran is Freaking Out!
- 3. But, Fran doesn’t need to be Frantic! She just needs to remember ONE thing! /EdD

- 8. Curriculum and Instruction Fran can now register herself OR Just email Kelly. Kelly will be more than happy to register her. (Kelly is awesome) Templeton23@Marshall.edu
- 9. WWW.MARSHALL.EDU/EDD So, Fran has been doing her course work for about 3 semesters now. She has gotten to know some of the professors. She has decided who she wants to be on her committee!

AWESOME…BEAUTIFUL…ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES Once you fill out the top part and sign it SEND IT TO KELLY (Templeton23@Marshall.edu) She will get the rest of the signatures (she is awesome)!

- 15. It will look like this when you first bring it up… Save it to your computer…. Then, bring it up and fill it out. It will look like this.. MORE, BEAUTIFUL, AWESOME ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES After you have it all filled out, Send it to Kelly (she is awesome) Templeton23@Marshall.edu She will get the remaining signatures for you PLAN OF STUDY
- 16. Fran is starting to calm down a little now. She has a committee. She has a plan. She has almost finished all of her course work.
- 17. THAT MEANS IT IS TIME FOR HER TO PRESENT HER PORTFOLIO IN HOPES OF BEING ADMITTED INTO CANDIDACY!!!! How does she schedule a Portfolio Defense???
- 20. Remember, when you first bring it up It will look like this…. Save it to your computer. Then, bring it up again to fill it out. It will look like this…. Aren’t those electronic signatures BEAUTIFUL! Once you fill it out and put your signature on it, Send it to Kelly (Templeton23@Marshall.edu) She will get the rest of the signatures for you. She is pretty cool. THIS MUST BE DONE 3 WEEKS BEFORE THE DEFENSE
- 21. Fran passed her portfolio defense And is now Admitted to Candidacy NO MORE CLASSES! 3 YEARS TO WRITE HER DISSERTATION Is there a form for that too?? YEP!
- 24. You know the drill…. Save it to your computer… Then bring it back up again and it will look like this. Love Electronic signatures The best part about this form is Fran doesn’t have to do anything. Kelly does it all for her. Kelly will give it to Fran’s chair before Fran’s portfolio defense. Kelly will get all the signatures. Then, Kelly will send Fran a copy. Isn’t she awesome??
