               •Fix items that were furnishings
               somehow removed in this
               file
This large floor plan
features an open layout
throughout most of the
first floor.
To the left of the foyer, a
large study will be
designed with a cozy
feel. A fireplace may be
included next to the
staircase to keep you
warm while you sit and
enjoy your favorite book.
The dining room is
designed to seat 6
around the table. It
also includes a built
in China cabinet
A half bath is located on
the back side of the
stairs. I tried to take
advantage of the space
under the stairs by
putting the sink in that
location, but that may
have to change as it
prevents me from
including a mirror above
the sink.

Further out from the
foyer you walk into the
great room which will
also showcase a fireplace
(not shown) The open
kitchen with a bar
counter as well as the
breakfast nook make
this the perfect place for
family interaction or for
hosting guest.
Next to the kitchen is
the hallway to the
garage as well as the
entrance to the laundry
room that can be found
under another staircase
to the second floor.

The garage has space
for 3 cars as well as a
designated space for
the garbage cans and a
dedicated workshop.
The Master Bedroom
includes his and her walk
in closets, a seating area
and a cozy master
bathroom.

The bathroom uses the
same Jacuzzi tub I
designed in one of my
other houses.

A garden is designed
outside to provide some
extra privacy from the
large curved picture
window above the tub.

The shower and toilet are
both located underneath
the staircase in this
design.

There should be plenty of
headroom for both in
these locations.
The front entrance is bordered by a columned porch area with bay windows from the study
and dining area on either side.
I believe the best material for this house would be either a white brick or stucco on the
majority of the house, with a stone material on the two bay window extrusions.
If the slanted wall
between the master
bedroom and great
room remains, it will
probably be the home
of an elaborate
fireplace to heat up
the large open space.

In the rear of the
garage, you can see
the space dedicated
for a work area with a
side exit door from
the garage.

Next to the work area
is the mechanical
room.
In the back of the house, I plan to build a large deck accessible from the
French doors of the great room, as well as from the master bedroom.
The garden on
the side of the
house will be
filled with tall
flowers and
shrubs to offer
privacy to the
master bath
behind the
window. This may
also be the ideal
location of the
A/C unit for the
house.
The current design of the
upstairs is home to both
the bedrooms and
special activities.

Two sets of stairs lead up
to the second floor with
one splitting off to
access a small bedroom
facing the front of the
house.
These two bedrooms
each have a small
personal bathroom and
a small walk in closet.
The theater room is
designed for large
screen viewing as well
as having an area to
play cards. You can also
just lounge around at
the built in juice bar
and seating area
This is also a bedroom,
and the only one that
doesn’t yet have a
personal bathroom. It
does have access to a
small balcony
overlooking the
backyard.
The music room was
designed to have a
dedicated soundproof
place to practice my
drums or have a band
over to jam out.
I designed a personal home
gym in this house to
provide a convenient place
to go for your daily
workouts.

I did actually do a bit of
research in picking out
equipment for this room so
I could have an idea how
much space I had to have to
fit the home fitness center,
and cardio machines. I also
have a mat for floor
exercises.

A bathroom is near the gym
but opens up to the game
room. It has a home sauna
as well as benches to sit
and rest after a hard
workout.
Although I am not sure
the shape of this office
is the most ideal, the
design offers space for
a full office complete
with a nice desk, plenty
of storage, and even a
place for a nice sofa
when you just need a
break. Off the office is
a small closet meant to
house a personal
server for the homes
media needs.
There were toilets placed
in these locations, but
evidently they got deleted
in the design process.
The layout of the upstairs is
likely to change as I am not sure
I like the current plan.

I think I am going to move the New
master bedroom upstairs in
                                               Theater
place of the gym area.
                                                           New
                                                         Bedroom
The current music room and With Bath
gym will be moved downstairs. and WIC New
The old music room will be Master
lengthened to become another Bedroom
bedroom.
The current bedroom will likely
become the new theater, while
the old theater room will just be
a game room and house the pool
table.

The two bedrooms on the
                                    Expanded
bottom will likely remain Bedroom
unchanged, though I do think I
am going to square off the
rounded corner.
In both the front and back of this house, a large rounded window is placed above the
door for a sense of elegance. Currently there are no windows along the side of the
garage, but if I alter the upstairs, a small window may be placed on the second floor to
                              provide light to that bathroom.
Above the garage sits
the home gym, or
soon to be Master
bedroom if I go
through with my
redesign.

Off this room is a nice
balcony to come out
to relax in the nice
weather.
Two rounded
picture windows
are shown in this
view above the
garden.

When I complete
the redesign, this
corner will
probably be
squared off with a
double set of
windows facing
the front of the
house.
Off the back of this house, a large deck will be designed overlooking an organically
shaped pool I hope to incorporate into this design.

On the walkway above the kitchen, I am not sure where the rest of my
columns disappeared to. Maybe they are part of a different file.
There should be a column every 4-5 feet along that walkway.
As usual for my houses, the roof design was rather complicated.
The different angles, extrusions, and curved walls made this a
very challenging task just to get what you see pictured.
A roof will also be placed above the front porch.
Upon stepping onto the front porch, you will experience a sense of wealth and
luxury as you face the double doors with the large arched window above.
From the great room, you can either go upstairs, head down the hallway
to the garage or laundry room, or head to the kitchen for a nice meal.
A lot of time and effort went into designing this kitchen. Each cabinet was
specifically picked out from the KraftMaid cabinets website and the CAD file
was downloaded. The appliances were modeled by me from the specs
provided on Miele.com and vikingrange.com for the fridge. I also modeled
the kitchen sink and faucet from specs, but the rinse sink faucet
                          was downloaded.
The island corners each feature
3 shelves to store decorative
items or small food baskets.
The end of the counter features
a place to store cooking wines.
The counter above the sink
provides a nice place to pull up a
stool to enjoy a meal or to
socialize while your meal is
being prepared.

Kitchen Use the Convection Steam Oven to cook flavorful,
            healthy meals in less time.
Most foods can be prepared and cooked in under 20
            minutes.
Multi-level cooking chamber lets you cook an entire
            meal simultaneously.

  the
An impressive feature of the Miele system is
Kitchen the user profile program. Every member of
the family, and even guests that visit often,
can program their favorite blend under their
own name so they can obtain their preferred
beverage at the touch of a button.

What’s in 3) Chef Series Convection Speed Oven
the The Speed oven is really two ovens in one; a microwave,
Kitchen and convection oven together in one box.

This delivers the speed advantage of microwave
technology, but ensures the succulent results offered
by more conventional cooking methods. Imagine the
convenience of defrosting, cooking and crisping all in
            one space saving multi-functional appliance.

What’s in 4) MasterChef 30" Single Oven
the Heated air, directionally channeled by the convection
fan to all corners of the oven, ensures a constant
Kitchen movement of air over the food, thus producing
            perfect, even cooking results.

The oven is designed with a concealed lower heating
element under the floor of the cavity to aid in even
heat distribution and to increase the overall usable
            space of the oven.

This built in cabinet and buffet counter provides an excellent place to display your
favorite china as well as providing a place to serve the night’s meal.

Bottom cabinets can store seasonal table dressings and the undisplayed
         pieces of your china sets.
This is a Jacuzzi tube that I designed for another house that I liked so
much I wanted to incorporate it into this design. The part I like the most
is that behind the raised tub, I built in a planter to plant some small trees,
shrubs or flowers to create a nature feel in the bathroom as well as
providing some privacy to the outside world.
This view showcases the 3 car garage with the dedicated work
area in the back. It also provides a nice view of the balcony above
which create an interesting look that I personally think works well
with this house.
This view shows the staircase that splits to different parts of the house.
To the right of the staircase is a small coat closet. Behind that is a small half
bath that places the sink underneath the staircase. There is not a lot of
headroom above the sink though, so this may change.
To the right even further, you will notice a double entry way to the
master bedroom area. The first opening is just an open pass
through, while the second will be closed off with a door.
This view demonstrates the great view you would have of the downstairs as
well as the view of the large glass wall in front of you.

Some reason the columns and header I designed for this walkway are no longer
here. But I was debating between this design and possibly creating an arch
system every 8 feet. The arches would be difficult to design on a
                  curve though.
This is just a view from the current game area. You can see the entry to
the steps downward, as well as the entry to the bathroom and the
walkway over the great room below.

 After making the presentation for this house, I
decided that the house really needs to be redone.
 The first floor isn’t too bad, but I want to eliminate
some of the angled and curved areas of the house
and square them up with the rest of the house.
 I also need to figure out how to make better use of
the space in the great room, as there is currently a
good bit of floor space that will be unusable other
    than walking over.
 The upstairs needs to just be repositioned as I really
do not like the large space that you have to go
through to get to the surrounding rooms.
 Hopefully with the restructuring, the roof design will
be a little smoother to figure out.

Further out from the foyer you walk into the great room which will also showcase a fireplace (not shown) The open kitchen with a bar counter as well as the breakfast nook make this the perfect place for family interaction or for hosting guest.
  • 7. Next to the kitchen is the hallway to the garage as well as the entrance to the laundry room that can be found under another staircase to the second floor. The garage has space for 3 cars as well as a designated space for the garbage cans and a dedicated workshop.
  • 8. The Master Bedroom includes his and her walk in closets, a seating area and a cozy master bathroom. The bathroom uses the same Jacuzzi tub I designed in one of my other houses. A garden is designed outside to provide some extra privacy from the large curved picture window above the tub. The shower and toilet are both located underneath the staircase in this design. There should be plenty of headroom for both in these locations.
  • 9. The front entrance is bordered by a columned porch area with bay windows from the study and dining area on either side. I believe the best material for this house would be either a white brick or stucco on the majority of the house, with a stone material on the two bay window extrusions.
  • 10. If the slanted wall between the master bedroom and great room remains, it will probably be the home of an elaborate fireplace to heat up the large open space. In the rear of the garage, you can see the space dedicated for a work area with a side exit door from the garage. Next to the work area is the mechanical room.
  • 11. In the back of the house, I plan to build a large deck accessible from the French doors of the great room, as well as from the master bedroom.
  • 12. The garden on the side of the house will be filled with tall flowers and shrubs to offer privacy to the master bath behind the window. This may also be the ideal location of the A/C unit for the house.
  • 13. The current design of the upstairs is home to both the bedrooms and special activities. Two sets of stairs lead up to the second floor with one splitting off to access a small bedroom facing the front of the house.
  • 14. These two bedrooms each have a small personal bathroom and a small walk in closet.
  • 15. The theater room is designed for large screen viewing as well as having an area to play cards. You can also just lounge around at the built in juice bar and seating area
  • 16. This is also a bedroom, and the only one that doesn’t yet have a personal bathroom. It does have access to a small balcony overlooking the backyard.
  • 17. The music room was designed to have a dedicated soundproof place to practice my drums or have a band over to jam out.
  • 18. I designed a personal home gym in this house to provide a convenient place to go for your daily workouts. I did actually do a bit of research in picking out equipment for this room so I could have an idea how much space I had to have to fit the home fitness center, and cardio machines. I also have a mat for floor exercises. A bathroom is near the gym but opens up to the game room. It has a home sauna as well as benches to sit and rest after a hard workout.
  • 19. Although I am not sure the shape of this office is the most ideal, the design offers space for a full office complete with a nice desk, plenty of storage, and even a place for a nice sofa when you just need a break. Off the office is a small closet meant to house a personal server for the homes media needs.
  • 20. There were toilets placed in these locations, but evidently they got deleted in the design process.
  • 21. The layout of the upstairs is likely to change as I am not sure I like the current plan. I think I am going to move the New master bedroom upstairs in Theater place of the gym area. New Bedroom The current music room and With Bath gym will be moved downstairs. and WIC New The old music room will be Master lengthened to become another Bedroom bedroom. The current bedroom will likely become the new theater, while the old theater room will just be a game room and house the pool table. The two bedrooms on the Expanded bottom will likely remain Bedroom unchanged, though I do think I am going to square off the rounded corner.
  • 22. In both the front and back of this house, a large rounded window is placed above the door for a sense of elegance. Currently there are no windows along the side of the garage, but if I alter the upstairs, a small window may be placed on the second floor to provide light to that bathroom.
  • 23. Above the garage sits the home gym, or soon to be Master bedroom if I go through with my redesign. Off this room is a nice balcony to come out to relax in the nice weather.
  • 24. Two rounded picture windows are shown in this view above the garden. When I complete the redesign, this corner will probably be squared off with a double set of windows facing the front of the house.
  • 25. Off the back of this house, a large deck will be designed overlooking an organically shaped pool I hope to incorporate into this design. On the walkway above the kitchen, I am not sure where the rest of my columns disappeared to. Maybe they are part of a different file. There should be a column every 4-5 feet along that walkway.
  • 26. As usual for my houses, the roof design was rather complicated. The different angles, extrusions, and curved walls made this a very challenging task just to get what you see pictured. A roof will also be placed above the front porch.
  • 27. Upon stepping onto the front porch, you will experience a sense of wealth and luxury as you face the double doors with the large arched window above.
  • 28. From the great room, you can either go upstairs, head down the hallway to the garage or laundry room, or head to the kitchen for a nice meal.
  • 29. A lot of time and effort went into designing this kitchen. Each cabinet was specifically picked out from the KraftMaid cabinets website and the CAD file was downloaded. The appliances were modeled by me from the specs provided on Miele.com and vikingrange.com for the fridge. I also modeled the kitchen sink and faucet from specs, but the rinse sink faucet was downloaded.

  • 42. This built in cabinet and buffet counter provides an excellent place to display your favorite china as well as providing a place to serve the night’s meal. Bottom cabinets can store seasonal table dressings and the undisplayed pieces of your china sets.
  • 43. This is a Jacuzzi tube that I designed for another house that I liked so much I wanted to incorporate it into this design. The part I like the most is that behind the raised tub, I built in a planter to plant some small trees, shrubs or flowers to create a nature feel in the bathroom as well as providing some privacy to the outside world.
  • 44. This view showcases the 3 car garage with the dedicated work area in the back. It also provides a nice view of the balcony above which create an interesting look that I personally think works well with this house.
  • 45. This view shows the staircase that splits to different parts of the house. To the right of the staircase is a small coat closet. Behind that is a small half bath that places the sink underneath the staircase. There is not a lot of headroom above the sink though, so this may change. To the right even further, you will notice a double entry way to the master bedroom area. The first opening is just an open pass through, while the second will be closed off with a door.
  • 46. This view demonstrates the great view you would have of the downstairs as well as the view of the large glass wall in front of you. Some reason the columns and header I designed for this walkway are no longer here. But I was debating between this design and possibly creating an arch system every 8 feet. The arches would be difficult to design on a curve though.
  • 47. This is just a view from the current game area. You can see the entry to the steps downward, as well as the entry to the bathroom and the walkway over the great room below.
  • 51. After making the presentation for this house, I decided that the house really needs to be redone.  The first floor isn’t too bad, but I want to eliminate some of the angled and curved areas of the house and square them up with the rest of the house.  I also need to figure out how to make better use of the space in the great room, as there is currently a good bit of floor space that will be unusable other than walking over.  The upstairs needs to just be repositioned as I really do not like the large space that you have to go through to get to the surrounding rooms.  Hopefully with the restructuring, the roof design will be a little smoother to figure out.
