The document is divided in two parts: - PART I: Summary of Requirements for Competition Equipment Items - PART II: Additional considerations The list of competition equipment items described in this document is the following: - KARATEGI (Jacket and Pants) - BELT - KARATE MITTS (GLOVES) – Right and left hand - SHINPAD & FOOT PROTECTOR – Right and left leg - FEMALE CHEST PROTECTOR - BODY PROTECTOR Please note that according to Art. 2.13. of the WKF Competition Rules, before every bout, the Match Supervisor will control the sport competition equipment of the athletes and any non - compliant item with these regulations will be denied. The graphics in the following pages display the correct maximum size, placement and number of identifications per equipment competition item. Should there be any inconsistency between this document and the Authorized Identification Guidelines approved by IOC, the last will prevail.
- 2. PART I: SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETITION ITEMS

KARATEGI Karategis can be of two different types: - TYPE A - White Plain, without manufacture identifications. - TYPE B - WKF Approved, including manufacture and/or product technology identifications. TYPE A – Karate-gi: White Plain TYPE B – Karate-gi: WKF Approved NOTE: The manufacture identification on this WKF Approved item can be of any COLOUR.

BELT Belts can be of two different types: - TYPE A – Blue/Red Plain, without manufacture identifications. - TYPE B - Blue/Red WKF Approved, including manufacture and/or product technology identifications. TYPE A – Belt: Blue/Red Plain TYPE B – Belt: WKF Approved NOTE: The manufacture identification on this WKF Approved Belt can be of any COLOUR.

KARATE MITTS (GLOVES) Karate Mitts (Gloves) for competition in Blue and Red colors must be as close as possible to the following pantone pattern: BLUE – Process Blue RED – Red 032 C NOTES: -The manufacture identification (BRAND/LOGO) of each Karate Mitt must be displayed in WHITE, with no background color. - The WKF Approved logo of each Karate Mitt must be displayed in BLACK, with no background color. -Both, the manufacture identification and the WKF Approved logo must respect the placement in the image above and the shape must be reproduced over the protection item, allowing a perfect visibility of the protection material original color.

SHINPAD & FOOT PROTECTOR ShinPad & Foot Protector for competition in Blue and Red colors must be as close as possible to the following pantone pattern: BLUE – Process Blue RED – Red 032 C Both elements ShinPad & Foot Protector TOGETHER are considered 1 single ITEM. ITEM 1: ShinPad & Foot Protector right (Blue or Red) ITEM 2: ShinPad & Foot Protector left (Blue or Red) NOTES: -The manufacture identification (BRAND/LOGO) of each Shin Pad & Foot Protector must be displayed in WHITE, with no background color, in the external side of the protection. - The WKF Approved logo of each Shin Pad & Foot Protector must be displayed in BLACK, with no background color. -Both, the manufacture identification and the WKF Approved logo must respect the placement in the image above and the shape must be reproduced over the protection item, allowing a perfect visibility of the protection material original color.
- 7. FEMALE CHEST PROTECTOR The Female Chest Protector for competition must be of WHITE color. BODY PROTECTOR Body Protector for competition must be of WHITE color. NOTES: - The manufacturer identification on the Female Chest Protector and the Body Protector can be of any COLOUR. - The WKF Approved logo on the Female Chest Protector and the Body Protector must be displayed in BLACK, with no background color. -Both, the manufacture identification and the WKF Approved logo must respect the placement in the images above and the shape must be reproduced over the protection item, allowing a perfect visibility of the protection material original color.

SIZE OF IDENTIFICATIONS According to the IOC Authorized Identification Guidelines the calculation of identification sizes will depend on the pattern of the shape, as follows: - REGULAR SHAPES - IRREGULAR SHAPES - COMBINED SHAPES WKF APPROVED IDENTIFICATION – Homologation mark There are two different types of WKF Approved identifications: 1. WKF Approved Logo in (COLOR) to be used in the following items: WKF Approved Karategi (Jacket and Pants). WKF Approved Belt. NOTE: This logo has a white background color and must be sewn to the Karategi with white color sewing thread.
- 10. The PANTONES of the WKF Approved logo are: 032 C 340 C Black 100% 300C Process Yellow 2. WKF Approved Logo (BLACK) to be used in the protections: Karate Mitts (Gloves), Shin Pad & Foot Protector, Body Protector, Female Chest Protector. NOTE: This logo has no background color. The shape in black must be reproduced directly over the protection item, allowing a perfect visibility of the protection material original color.
