Terminal Objective
- At the end of the session, the participants will be
able to demonstrate in-depth understanding of
preparing classroom-based and home-based
activities through their developed Weekly Learning
Plan.
Enabling Objectives
1. Define Weekly Learning Plan and its parts as stated in DepEd
Order 017, series of 2022.
2. Explain the difference between classroom-based and home-
based.
3. Write Weekly Learning Plan using the prescribed template.
Task 1: RE-CALL
Directions: Read and analyze the following statements
carefully. Then, identify what is being described in
each.
Task 1: RE-CALL
1. This Department of Education Order which titled
Guidelines on the Progressive Expansion of Face to
Face Classes provides guidelines that seek to provide
guidance to schools on the mechanisms and
standards of the F2F classes and ensure their effective,
efficient, and safe implementation.
Task 1: RE-CALL
2. It refers to a learning delivery that combines face to
face with any or a mix of online distance learning,
modular distance learning, and TV/ Radio-based
Instruction.

3. These are defined as what the students' need,
considered indispensable, in the teaching-learning
process to building skills to equip learners for
subsequent grade levels and subsequently, for lifelong
learning.

4. In the current context in education, these are said to
be the learning tasks that are expected to be
accomplished by the learners with the help of their
family members as they deal with modular distance
learning.

5. It is the combination of Weekly Home Learning Plan
and Daily Lesson Plan of which both guides teachers
and learners during face-to-face and distance
learning.
WHAT IS WEEKLY LEARNING
PLAN?
Weekly Learning Plan is an outline of home-based
activities and classroom-based activities that guides
both teachers and learners in the attainment of
instructional objectives/ Most Essential Learning
Competencies during the limited face-lo-face classes.
WHAT IS WEEKLY LEARNING
PLAN?
It is a simplified instructional plan that combines
the Weekly Home Learning Plan and the Daily Lesson
Log/Plan.
WHAT IS WEEKLY LEARNING
PLAN?
Teachers shall prepare the Weekly Learning Plan
to provide direction and guidance for both classroom-
based and home-based activities.
WHAT IS WEEKLY LEARNING
PLAN?
They shall determine strategies to address
immediate gaps to ensure the transition from distance
learning to classroom-based instruction. Teachers
handling face-to-face classes shall prepare only the
WLP as an instructional guide.
WHAT IS WEEKLY LEARNING
PLAN?
Each learner shall be provided with a copy of WLP
to serve as their guide for learning tasks that should
be done at home when they are on distance learning.
HOME-BASED VERSUS
CLASSROOM-BASED
Task 2: Compare and Contrast
Directions: Using the Venn Diagram, give the similarities
and differences of Home-based and Classroom-based
activities.
HOME-BASED ACTIVITIES
- learning tasks that are in the Self-Learning Modules
- expected to be accomplished at home
- could be facilitated by family members (MDL)
- any other activities that are not completed inside
the classroom
CLASSROOM-BASED ACTIVITIES
- learning opportunities provided to the learners
during in-person classes
- facilitated by the teachers employing various
teaching and learning strategies
- allow learners to master the expected competencies
- should be done inside the classroom
