Women World Leaders
Intro  When you watch a presidential election on the TV you would usually see two male candidates, most women may argue this point because there has never been a female president and they may feel left out, a second class citizen in this world.
Target QuestionHow have the roles of women changed over time? Have these changes been good or bad for the society?
Five W’s  What : women world leaders Who: women political leaders Where: the world When: after world war 2 and on
History Through out history women have ruled nations, for example Vigdis Finnbogadottir she was the first well known female president of Iceland in 1980. She crushed three men in her first running as president. Her goals for her country was to modernize Iceland and to improve the status of women until her fourth term in 1996.
Roles Sirimavo Bandaranaike (1916-2000) 	prime minister Was the first women prime minister in world history and the oldest political leader. Indira Gandhi (1917-1984) 	prime minister 	* Was assassinated then her mother took her place as the prime minister of India and she was also assassinated. Sonia Sotomayor, 	prime minister  	first Hispanic women supreme court justiceMargot  Wallstrom 	prime minister 	first vice-president of the European  commission
María Estela ('Isabel') Martínez de PerónShe served as the president of  Argentina from 1974 to 1976. There is some reason to believe that she killed her husband, Which was the president before her term, When she was vice president. This raised a lot of questions thought out her country. She was shortly impeached.
Sabine Bergmann-PohlWas the head of state for the German Democratic Republic. This was the first women to be in office in Germany in former communist Europe. She served as the last head of state of  East Germany. In 1990 East and West reunited as one.
Maria Corazon CojangcoWas the first female president of the republic of the Philippines.She was the first popular and democratic president. Her high moral leadership let to rise of women world leaders in southeast Asia and the world .
Groups point of view As a group we feel that women CAN be world leaders but sometimes they always don’t make the right decisions. Maybe if they had a little more experience in politics they would last longer in office.
Conclusion in conclusion women have impacted the political world. They have changed the out comes of war, there people, and there country.
