Implementing Mobile Technology Research and experience One-to-one vs. shared or “cart” model Ultimate goal for Hershey is one-to-one Current reality and plan Combination of one-to-one and shared  16 mini-laptops dedicated to each team  One-to-one for core classrooms selected through mini-grant
Implementation Options
Option 1: Set of 16 in one room Set of 16 stays together; in one class initially (may move during flex) Pros and cons English Math Social studies Science
Option 2: Set of 16 rotating Set of 16 stays together; rotate as deter-mined by team (may move during flex) Pros and cons English Math Social studies Science
Option 3:  Set of 4 in each room 4 in each room Pros and cons English Math Social studies Science
Option 4: All of the above Combination of all of the above; scheduled weekly or monthly Pros and cons English Math Social studies Science
Mini-Grants Benefits of participation Short, focused application Six teachers will be awarded mini-grants DUE DATE : Oct. 20 Will be scored anonymously and without indication of TIME status by a group made up of 50% out-of-district people
Break into two groups
Brainstorming team plans Look at Core Tools on the wiki Think about instructional goals and strategies and your classroom Develop a short statement about how your team best utilize these tools to support learning Post to the C3E3 blog
Synthesizing ideas with a VoiceThread Go to the VoiceThread link on the wiki Choose a few of the instructional strategies from CITW and add your comments (video, audio, text – try one of each) about how you could use the tools we’ve explored to implement the strategy in your classroom
Closing  Questions Please complete the post-workshop evaluation and give input for future support needs (link on the workshop page of the wiki) Look at dates on the C3E3 project calendar. (Later, you can add this to your Google calendar.)
