5 1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This SRS describes the software functional and
nonfunctional requirements for release 1.0 of world
of Hostels. This application maintains the centralized
database so that any changes done at a location
reflects immediately. It provides the interface to
users in a graphical way to manage the daily
transactions as well as historical data. The document
will also cover hardware, software and various other
technical dependencies.

2 Objectives
1. Provide best room and environment for all
people.
3. To Create an easy to use system for an illiterate
workforce .
5. To spend less time in searching and retrieving of
information.

9. To tend to present flexibility in the ways data and
information are inputted.

2.1 Requirements Specification Document
This document is a very comprehensive document
& contains all the User requirements & Analysis
diagrams. The Requirements are broadly divided
into two groups:
1. Functional requirements
2. Non-functional requirements

2.2 Functional Requirements
1. Manager can add item in world of Hostel.
2. Manager can delete item in world of Hostel
3. Manager can update the hostel information

4. Manager can search the any hostel and also
search their information.
5. After completing the selections of item,
manager enter name and number of the
customer.

6. System must record the information about the
customer.
7. System should make a total bill of sales.
8. After payment system must be up date.
9. It also allows them to view the list of inward
entries.
10. It also allows them to view the list of Outward
entries.
11. It allows the users to change their password
for future security.

3 Non-Functional Requirements
The non-functional requirements consist of
1. Analysis, Design & Data requirements (Use-
case diagrams, textual analysis, sequence
diagrams, data Flow Diagram etc.
2. Admin shall be forced to change their
password the next time they log in if they have
not changed it within the length of time
established as “password expiration duration.”

3. For gaining entry into the system the admin
should register user info and the user should be
able use login & passwords for gaining access to
the system.
4. The users should be able to change their
passwords for increased security.
5. The system should be easy to understand and
organized in a structured way.
6. There should be no limitation about the
hardware platform that is to be used to run the
system.

7. The system restart cycle must execute completely in
less than 60 seconds.
8. The system shall produce a storage capacity
warning notification when the 65% capacity threshold
is crossed with additional notifications issued
thereafter at 5% threshold increments.
9. All monetary amounts must be accurate to two
decimal places.
10. The system should be reliable.

4.1 Why to use this website?
Now a days it is difficult to find a hostel at a
desired location. Normally a student or job
holder is not aware of how many hostels are
available in a particular location. This website
is to resolve this issues.

Any student or job holder can use this
website to find a hostel nearby his/her
desired location that is according to the
user’s preferences.

This website will be used in Lahore.

4.4 How to use this website?
A potential visitor can open this website and
can select a location in which he/she want to
hire a hostel. Further user can select the
budget, room type (single bed, double bed
etc.), air condition or simple, with or without
mess. Then website will find and show the
suitable hostels.
