This document provides instructions for a writing assignment asking students to create a meme from the point of view of a character from the novel "Freak the Mighty". Students are asked to choose a character and create a meme that represents how that character has been described. They then must write a 3-5 sentence reflection explaining how their meme captures the characterization of their chosen character, including a quote from the novel to support their ideas. Brainstorming questions are also provided to help students understand their character.
