Class 3-4 partnered with Class 8-2 for a writing buddies program on January 31st, 2008. The eighth graders mentored the third graders by editing their writing and serving as role models. As a result of this experience, the third graders' writing improved with clearer details and they began positive relationships with older students. The teacher hopes to continue the program to foster committed friendships between the classes.

- 1. Class 8-2 and 3-4 Writing Buddies
- 2. Writing Buddies January 31 st , 2008 was a special day for Class 3-4. Children were partnered with an eighth grader in Class 8-2. The eight graders are mentoring our third grade students by being kind, honest, exemplar editors and role models. Our students have benefited from this experience. Their writing has become clearer and more rich with detail. In addition, they have begun a positive and beneficial relationship with an older student. I hope to continue writing buddies in order to create a warm, safe, and committed friendship between Class 3-4 and 8-2.
