The World University Service of Canada (WUSC) aims to promote human development and global understanding through education and training, involving Canadian universities, colleges, and local committees. It mobilizes volunteers and partners with organizations to address poverty, food insecurity, and support development goals in various countries. WUSC provides opportunities for students to engage in advocacy, sponsorship of student refugees, and educational initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods in developing countries.

- 16. HIV and AIDSOn Campus OverseasBike 4AIDS Bicycles and bike-ambulances are of great assistance to those living with HIV and AIDS in rural Malawi.
- 17. Through Bike 4 AIDS, Local Committees fundraise to purchase bikes while raising awareness on HIV and AIDS issues.
- 18. Bikes purchased with Bike 4 AIDS funds are distributed to Community Based Organizations that work with HIV and AIDS sufferers.
- 19. HIV and AIDS caregivers travel to neighboring villages to care for those affected. With a bicycle, they reach 5 times as many patients.Fair Trade and Ethical PurchasingOn Campus OverseasBurkina Faso: UGPPK-S/Z WUSC and Uniterra provide support to this 3000-member women shea butter producers co-op by providing technical support, assisting with the FT certification process and with global marketing

- 29. For over 60 years, WUSC’s annual International Seminar has provided Canadian students with their first in-depth experience in a developing country. The goal is to engage a group of about 20 Canadian students and 20 host country students in collaborative community projects.
