- 4. At this current date youtube estimates that there are over 1 billion videos being watched daily on youtube. To start off this the show we’ll start with making your youtube account!
- 5. First things, first. Type in www.youtube.com , this link will do fine to I guess. Next thing that you’d want to do is click the create account button on the top right-hand corner of the screen. You don’t always have to go to the youtube homepage to create an account, the button is available anywhere (unless you’re already logged in).
- 6. Since there are no pictures of the actual youtube account making page I’ll have to make a rough copy of it. Username: ……… Location: ……… Postal code: ……. Date of birth: ……. This is all required but will under no circumstances will release/sell/trade/delete/etc your information to any one or any thing.
- 7. There are many convenient options that an account offers, such as favouriting a video so that if you want you can later on view it again without having to search for it! Cool eh? And if you really like a video you can “subscribe” to the person who made the video, when you subscribe to someone it means that when ever they upload a new video you will be informed of it on the youtube homepage!

When you friend someone it shows that you are connected with the youtube community, all their resent activity will be shown on the youtube homepage as well as the people you’ve subscribed to, this is also true for the people that subscribe or friend you, although you can always edit it so that people can’t see your activity.
- 9. Channel editing When you edit a channel you can decide on a “thumbnail”, which is the picture that people will see next to your name, a background for your channel, and can even see the background more by changing the transparency of the default theme.

About your channel Some things that will be part of your channel is “your subscriptions” and “your subscribes” will be listed, as well as your friends, favorites, and playlists that you have made, your recent activity and also you can add information about yourself. You have the option of taking any of the options above out by pressing the modules button at the top of the channel page.
- 11. Uploading videos To upload a video start by going to your channel. Up at the top right hand corner you’ll hopefully see a yellow button that says upload. After clicking the upload button you’ll see a page with a lot of random stuff on it, its your choice if you want to read it or not, its pretty straight forward. Getting back to the uploading. The upload button is still pretty clear to see on the page.
- 12. Uploading videos cont… After pressing the upload button for the 2 nd time, it’ll ask for you to search throughout your computer to what you want to upload.
