Zig Ziglar was born in 1926 in Alabama and raised by his mother with 10 siblings. He served in the Navy during WWII and used the GI Bill to attend college, having to work various jobs to pay expenses. In the 1960s, he married and struggled financially before going into motivational speaking. Drawing on his life experiences, he became a renowned motivational speaker, author, and sales trainer, known for his optimistic attitude and inspirational quotes. Into his 80s, Ziglar continued his motivational work until suffering some health issues in 2007.
