- #2: The current presentation is intended to provide an overview of new features and enhancements that are to be implemented in release version 12 of the FrontFlow project.
- #3: In release version 12 there shall be a new component implemented which is intended for depicting business process at organizations. Also, the existing functionality of the system shall be enhanced with new functional possibilities including utilization of the E-Archive control used for uploading documents to a server, usage of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol for connecting to more than one domain to retrieve user accounts. Moreover, FrontFlow shall support also Silverlight controls providing end users with a possibility to create Silverlight dashboards with a rich functionality. The users shall also be able to apply various themes to their dashboard pages as well as organize their web parts in a smart way.
- #4: There shall be a new component implemented which is intended for graphical depicting of various business processes. Designing a workflow the users can specify activities for each step in it. The existing web parts, already created and configured in Web Part Studio, can be used to handle specific workflow activities. If there is not an appropriate web part, the users can initiate creation of a stub web part on any given workflow activity.

- #6: Workflow Designer shall be implemented as a separate Silverlight application with a user-oriented user interface. By means of the editor the users shall be able to depict a workflow graphically moving the conceptual blocks to the design canvas. With a few clicks it shall be possible to assign a user to a workflow activity and associate a web part with it.
- #7: In release version 12 the users shall be able to utilize a new control – E-Archive - aimed for uploading various artifacts to a centralized storage thus enriching the functionality of their web parts.
- #8: FrontFlow supports two schemes of user authorization: database- and Active Directory based. Thanks to the utilized Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, it shall be possible to connect to more than 1 Active Directory domain and grant the needed users appropriate access rights to the FrontFlow system.
- #9: In release version 12 FrontFlow shall support Silverlight controls. The user shall be able to create Silverlight rich line-of-business web portals.
- #10: FrontFlow provides a feature to park web parts and handle appearance of the dedicated parking dashboard area in the way it is done when managing the Microsoft Windows taskbar.This functionality is useful when the user works with several web parts containing much information. In order not to over-cram a dashboard with the content not needed at the moment, but to focus on the information of other web parts, the user shall have a possibility to park web parts and return to them later.
