At Pure Sunfarms, every plant’s journey begins in our nursery, where quality takes root. With up to 75,000 plants in rotation and over 1,600 mother plants, our nursery is a hub of expert care and precision. Cuttings are rooted, handplanted, and nurtured with house-made plant food before heading to one of our 16 flower rooms. Up to four weeks in the nursery, our team ensures each plant gets exactly what it needs to thrive. Because quality cannabis starts long before harvest. It starts with how you grow it. #CannabisCultivation #GreenhouseGrown Village Farms International Inc.

Thank you to the Delta Optimist for profiling Pure Sunfarms and giving us the space to share our story. From Village Farms International Inc.'s strong roots as a sophisticated tomato greenhouse to becoming a global exporter of EU-GMP certified cannabis, this journey is a milestone worth celebrating. Since 2022, we've expanded into Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and more. With 2.2 million sq ft of greenhouse space, over 500 local jobs, and a 2025 expansion on the way, our foundation in Delta has never been stronger. “Being able to share what we produce here in Delta with the world is something we don’t take for granted,” says Orville Bovenschen. The cannabis industry doesn’t slow down, and neither does Mike Groff. As Senior Director of National Sales at Pure Sunfarms, he’s everywhere: walking retail floors, touring the greenhouse, shaping go-to-market plans with Brand and Strategy. It’s hands-on, high-speed, and exactly where he wants to be. Mike leads with urgency but never loses sight of what matters: people. His approach is grounded in listening, collaboration, and pushing for clarity in the noise. When challenges hit, he meets them head-on with transparency, focus, and the belief that pressure creates opportunity. He’s building more than sales momentum. He’s helping shape a culture of high performance, healthy competition, and shared wins. One where teams bring energy, take ownership, and stay hungry for what’s next. That drive, that pace, that mindset… this is what makes Mike such a force at Village Farms International Inc. And why our next chapter is already picking up speed. #CannabisLeadership

Producers of all sizes support changes to cannabis product labelling, because consumers deserve more than just a single number when making informed choices. Our President Orville Bovenschen and Director of R&D and Lab Gillian Vandermeirsch spoke with CTV Vancouver's Isabella Zavarise about why the industry is advocating for a more balanced approach to labelling, one that shifts the focus to product quality, consistency, and overall consumer experience, not just THC percentage. This is about empowering consumers, elevating industry standards, and helping the legal market continue to evolve responsibly. Thank you to CTV News for shining a light on this important conversation, and kudos to our team for representing Village Farms International Inc. and the broader industry with such expertise and dedication. At Pure Sunfarms, we believe in showing up consistently for the Budtenders who show up for us, and that means being present where they are, offering meaningful education, and staying connected. That's why we're honoured to be the first brand partner granted access to the High Buds Club feed, a space created specifically for Budtenders. It’s one more way we’re supporting the Bud community, with more to come, and we look forward to seeing other brands step up and do the same.
We're opening up the High Buds Club Feed to our brand partners so they can show up and engage directly with our buds. And to no surprise, Pure Sunfarms is the first to the party. Because it's not about big flashy campaigns that don't matter. It's about showing up day after day and supporting the Buds. And when you support them, they'll support you. That's how we all win. Grateful to my brand partners who just get it. Cordelia Barber Asahel Beaudet Ross E. J. Hendry Sabine Schwirtz Ellyse Veitch

Another step forward for Village Farms. With more space to grow, we’re strengthening supply for our customers in Canada and around the world. Here’s to scaling with purpose and leading with quality.
Today we announced a 550,000 sq. ft. expansion of cannabis cultivation at our Delta, BC production campus. The conversion of the second half of our Delta 2 greenhouse will reinforce our position as one of the largest producers of cannabis in the world, and enable us to continue scaling profitably with increasing global demand. Once complete, this project will increase our total operational cannabis production space by one-third and yield 40 metric tonnes of annual output, enabling us to continue serving Canada and International markets with greater supply. President and Chief Executive Officer Michael A DeGiglio commented, “Our business is growing organically, with market conditions across the globe aligning favorably with the competitive strengths we’ve established through nearly 40 years in controlled environment agriculture. We expect these trends to continue, and that this investment will help drive profitable growth in 2026 and beyond.” Read the press release: https://lnkd.in/gmbgt344

The conversation around cannabis quality is evolving. In this op-ed for Cannabis Business Times, our President Orville Bovenschen challenges the industry’s fixation on THC potency and calls for a more holistic approach to product evaluation. At Pure Sunfarms, we prioritize cultivation excellence, post-harvest care, and consumer education, because quality should never be reduced to a single number. We’re proud to help lead this critical dialogue. Read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/gH38FiHt Village Farms International Inc.
