BOLD ideas for a smarter future Congratulations to Christian Pala, Davide Gamba, and Manuel Ippolito, members of the #Artificialy team, who, together with four fellow Data science and AI students, were awarded the #BOLD Award at the ESG Meets Blockchain Summit 2025. The winning project, “Dynamic Synthetic Data”, is a synthetic data generator powered by a proprietary algorithm, designed to enable advanced data analysis while preserving privacy. An idea at the intersection of AI, sustainability, and responsible innovation, selected among the 10 most promising international projects. The event, hosted by Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI) in Lugano, featured high-profile speakers including Nobel Laureate Daron Acemoglu and political scientist Francis Fukuyama. Innovation also means empowering those who dare to explore new ground. Five years of activity. One day to celebrate them together. On June 25th, we rediscovered the beauty of Alto Ticino. Nature, culture, fun, great food and, above all, sharing. We started in Piotta with a visit to the construction site of the new Ritom SA hydroelectric power plant, presented by those who work on it every day with passion and expertise. Taking the historic funicular up to Piora, we then hiked to Capanna Cadagno, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and even caught a glimpse of the seasonal cattle transhumance. Lunch was generous and authentic: polenta, local cheese, gnocchi, braised beef, wild boar... and of course, a few beers shared over stories and laughter. In the afternoon, we visited the Alpine Biology Center overlooking the scenic Lake Cadagno, a place where scientific research and environmental preservation come together in the heart of the Alps. But the day didn’t end there. We made a stop in Giornico for a guided tour of the historic village and the Romanesque church of San Nicolao. To top it off, we had dinner in Lavorgo at Hotel Defanti, where beer gave way to a good glass of wine. It was a full and meaningful day. AI & Fundamental Rights: the European dialogue begins! We are proud to take part in the first meeting of the #HUDERIA Platform, an initiative promoted by the Council of Europe to define shared standards for AI governance and risk assessment. Our Giulia Gualtieri will represent Artificialy in Strasbourg on June 19–20, contributing to the discussion with experts and stakeholders on the HUDERIA Methodology, which integrates Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law into the development and adoption of AI systems. An important step toward #responsible, #sovereign, and truly #applicableAI.
