The upgraded overall system, featuring more than 1,700 solar panels with a total capacity of 1.08MWp, not only generates clean renewable energy to power part of GBTB’s operations but also represents a significant step forward to a more sustainable and greener future. The expansion and enhancement of the solar infrastructure was carried out across GBTB sites including the Supertree Grove as well as at new sites such as The Canopy and Bayfront Pavilion. The successful implementation of the project showcases EDP's capabilities to deliver innovative tailored renewable solutions that overcome spatial limitations and drive sustainability in dense cities. For instance, we leveraged specialized expertise in innovative installation design to maximize energy generation across unique spaces. One example is the Supertrees which have irregular surfaces and shapes that make mounting solar panels more complex than on standard rooftops or flat land. At EDP, we believe in impact driven by #collaboration. This partnership exemplifies a shared vision to create a more #sustainable and greener tomorrow. 👇 See the system expansion in action! 🚨 Game-Changer for Mediterranean Wind! After several months of port, logistics, and maritime coordination, the first floating wind turbine of the EFGL project – Floating Wind Turbines of the Gulf of Lion – has been successfully installed 16 km off the coast of Leucate and Barcarès, in the Occitanie region. Launched at the end of 2023 with the installation of anchors and the connection cable, this exceptional and unprecedented project in the region mobilized several specialized actors to ensure the turbine's towing, hauling, and escort to its anchoring site. It is a spectacular operation that fully showcases local industrial expertise. Led by OW Ocean Winds in partnership with Banque des Territoires, this pilot project marks a major step forward for offshore wind development in France. Construction will continue until the installation of the last two turbines at the end of August 2025. With a unit capacity of 10 MW and a blade tip height of 186 meters, the EFGL project’s turbines are the most powerful ever installed in France and the most powerful floating turbines in the world. ⚡Once operational, this pilot farm will be able to cover the electricity needs of over 50,000 inhabitants – one more step towards a more sustainable energy future. 📸 EFGL©️ #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition

💚EDP, through Enerdeal, promotes access to solar energy in regions facing significant energy challenges With great enthusiasm, we announce the successful completion of solar power plant installations in five cities across Madagascar. This transformative project will bring energy to over 57,000 residents in a country where more than 60% of the population lives without electricity. By enhancing access to renewable energy, we are directly contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, and SDG 1: No Poverty. These efforts play a pivotal role in alleviating energy poverty and fostering sustainable development in regions facing significant energy challenges. Enerdeal by EDP, a specialist in cutting-edge solar solutions, led this project and ensured the coordination and supervision of all stages of the value chain. This initiative exemplifies our unwavering commitment to promoting a just and inclusive energy transition. Our primary goal is to empower all segments of the population with access to clean energy, helping to reduce socio-economic inequalities, supporting stronger community growth, and improving people's quality of life. Get to know the numbers behind this project that will make a difference in this community ⤵️

📈EDP’s commitment to Italy is long-term and growing Since entering the Italian market, we have invested over €1 billion, positioning ourselves as the second-largest foreign investor in the country's renewable energy sector. As a global company with a local mindset, our strategy in Italy is multi-technology, from large-scale wind and solar projects to tailored solar solutions for corporate clients. In 2025 alone, we invested in more than 200 MW of new clean energy across utility-scale wind, solar, and distributed generation. We're now gearing up for the next phase: storage. With 500 MW of storage capacity in our pipeline, this technology will become one of the three pillars of EDP’s strategy, alongside solar and wind. As part of this commitment, we recently announced a new partnership to develop EDP's largest distributed generation photovoltaic plant in the country with integrated storage. By continuously expanding our footprint and investing strategically, EDP aims to deliver reliable clean energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients while fostering long-term sustainability across the region. 📰 Read the full interview with Roberto Pasqua in Il Sole 24 Ore to learn more about EDP's trajectory in Italy: https://lnkd.in/dvC23xEb #EDPWeChooseEarth #EnergyTransition

☀️ June makes history with solar energy breaking a new record Solar energy has set a new milestone, supplying 22% of the EU's electricity in June and becoming the main source of energy for the first time ever. As cities across Europe grapple with heatwaves, the urgency for resilient, climate-smart infrastructure is heightened, and solar energy is crucial in meeting the increasing energy demand. At EDP in Europe, centralized solar power generation increased by 71% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 577 GWh, establishing it as the fastest-growing technology in our portfolio. The sun will continue to shine, playing an increasingly decisive role in the energy transition. With discussions beginning on the next EU budget for 2028-2034, it is crucial that we receive support through frameworks that drive sustained investment and enable more efficient progress with clean energy projects, thereby strengthening Europe's long-term competitiveness and resilience.

🆕 EDP in France celebrates four new projects From May to June, our teams in France marked a particularly dynamic period with the inauguration of four new solar parks across the country: 📍 Plancy-l’Abbaye: Grand Est (Aube); 📍 Pont-à-Mousson: Grand Est (Meurthe-et-Moselle); 📍 Fain-lès-Montbard: Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (Côte-d'Or); 📍 Cavignac: Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Gironde). Each inauguration was an opportunity to celebrate a collective achievement alongside local officials, partners, and our teams — and to reaffirm our commitment to delivering clean, local energy to power the energy transition. With these new assets, over 22 MWp of solar power have been added in France — another concrete step toward a more sustainable future. 📢 Storage has been gaining prominence in our portfolio, and today we are proud to announce the signing of another pioneering contract in Europe. EDP in Poland, in close collaboration with Axpo Polska , has signed a long-term agreement to optimize a 60 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project. This innovative energy solution addresses the gap in a market that largely relies on conventional energy sources. By incorporating storage, it will enable the integration of more renewable capacity, fostering greater stability in the national electricity system. This project further strengthens our long-standing presence in Poland, where we have already developed over 1 GW of wind and solar energy at the utility scale, as well as distributed solar production solutions for businesses. Moreover, this initiative solidifies our current position: adopting a comprehensive energy approach that enhances Europe's energy independence through a diverse mix of technologies that are reliable, affordable, and scalable. Discover the main benefits of storage in the carousel below and read the recently launched press release here: https://lnkd.in/d-RZAfmA #EDPWeChooseEarth #EnergyTransition #Storage
