Beyond Energy
Sobre nosotros
Ocean Winds (OW) is an international company dedicated to offshore wind, leading a new era of clean energy by turning ocean winds into power that lights up homes, businesses, and communities. A pure offshore wind player, created as a 50-50 joint venture, owned by EDP Renewables and ENGIE, OW develops, finances, builds, and operates offshore wind farms worldwide. From start to finish, we make it happen—constructing wind farms at sea and keeping them running to deliver reliable, green energy every day. What sets us apart is the expertise of our people, the experience gained through our projects, and the shared vision of our sponsors. Headquartered in Madrid and present in 8 countries, OW now has close to 19 GW of gross offshore wind capacity either operating, contracted, or with development exclusivity rights secured. OW is shaping the future by working closely with governments, partners, communities, and industries to make offshore wind a basis of an attainable tomorrow. We’re here for the long haul—creating a legacy that not only powers today but also shapes a sustainable future. Beyond Energy. Ocean Winds.

#Construction | A truly French summer of #OffshoreWind progress 🌊 At the beginning of this summer, we spoke with Marc Hirt, Country Manager France, to hear how construction was progressing across our French projects. 🎥 The video captures all of our summer progress: ✅ At our Yeu–Noirmoutier offshore wind farm, more than half of the turbines are already installed, and the site continues to produce more and more clean electricity. ✅ At our 30 MW EFGL project, all the floating turbines are now installed. ✅ At our Dieppe–Le Tréport project, the first turbine foundation has officially been installed. 👏 A big thank you to all the teams and partners who made this summer of progress possible. 👉 Watch the video to look back at where the season began — and how far we've come. #ProudtobeOW #EnergyTransition

#ExcitingNews | The first turbine foundation is officially installed at our Dieppe – Le Tréport #OffshoreWind farm in France! 🌊⚙️ Located 17 km off Dieppe and 15.5 km from Le Tréport, the 500 MW wind farm will consist of 62 turbines and supply #CleanEnergy to nearly 850,000 people annually. 🇫🇷⚡ ✅ This marks another key milestone in France, following the offshore installation of more than half of the 61 turbines at our 500 MW Yeu-Noirmoutier project and the successful towing and installation at sea of all three floating turbines at our 30 MW EFGL pilot project — bringing OW to over 1 GW currently under construction in France. 🔗 Built on strong international-local collaboration: 🔹 Steel jackets fabricated by Navantia Seanergies/Windar Renovables 🔹 Offshore transport & installation by DEME Group 🔹 Logistics coordinated from the Port of Cherbourg 🔹 Offshore substation engineered by Chantiers de l'Atlantique 🔹 Grid connection by RTE 👏 A big thank you to our teams and partners helping deliver the future of offshore wind in France. #ExcitingNews | ✅ All LES EOLIENNES FLOTTANTES DU GOLFE DU LION Floating Turbines Successfully Installed Offshore in Occitanie! 🌊 The final 10 MW turbine left the Port of Port-La Nouvelle and was installed 16 km offshore, joining the first two turbines. Once connected, EFGL will deliver clean energy for 50,000 residents every year—a major step toward commissioning. ⚡ This achievement reflects the strength of local teamwork and industrial coordination. A big thank you to all the teams and partners involved in this demanding collective operation: Euroports and its subcontractors including Mammoet (lifting), Vestas (turbine), Principle Power (floater design), Eiffage Métal and Smulders (ballasting and anchoring), as well as PMS Pêcheurs Méditerranée Services for their key role in maritime safety. ✅ Offshore turbine installation is complete. 🔜 Next up: inter-array cable laying, then grid connection by RTE, ahead of commissioning. Check out the images of this achievement below 👇 🔗 More details in the first comment! 📸 @VBedos-OCCIDRONE #ProudtobeOW #EnergyTransition

#WorldPhotographyDay | Sometimes our expressions say it all, wOW, because the images we come across are impressive! 😮 On World Photography Day, we are pleased to share some of our best shots. Just like everything offshore, capturing these photos is challenging, dynamic and unique. These photos show more than beautiful views and what we get to experience through our work, they reflect the reality of a job that goes #BeyondEnergy. But none of this would be possible without the incredible team behind the scenes, and sometimes behind the cameras, the talented photographers and suppliers who accompany us throughout this journey. 🌍 Which one is your favorite? 📸 And if you have a photo that captures the spirit of our work, share it with us too! #ProudtobeOW 👏 Credits: Luke Machen, Ritchie Wallace & Ulrich Wirrwa

#Construction | Half of the 61 turbines are now in place at the Îles d’Yeu and Noirmoutier offshore wind farm ✅🌊 This achievement marks significant progress in our French #OffshoreWind portfolio: the 500 MW farm is already producing green electricity for around 400,000 people — half the population of Vendée and half of the farm’s total capacity. It also reflects the dedication of our teams and partners, including Siemens Gamesa, Jan De Nul Group, COMITE D ENTREPRISE DU GRAND PORT MARITIME DE NANTES -ST NAZAIRE , and numerous local subcontractors. 🤝 A huge congratulations to the teams onshore and offshore for driving forward this exciting energy project! 💪 👉 Installations are going! Stay tuned for more updates! 📸 Check out the photo of our project under construction below! #ProudtobeOW #EnergyTransition

#CommunityEngagement | 🇦🇺 From panels to paddocks — July was an exciting month for OW Ocean Winds in Australia! We kicked things off at the Australia Wind Energy 2026 Conference in Melbourne, where: 🎤 Pelayo Rodríguez Alonso, Head of Business Development Japan & APAC, joined a panel on how Australia can lead in #OffshoreWind — highlighting opportunities presented by Gippsland’s strong wind resources and policy momentum along with challenges of delivering critical infrastructure like grid capacity and port facilities on time. 🔍 Kristy Finch, our Permitting and Environment Senior Manager, shared how real-world data and cutting-edge tech can help improve environmental assessments and shape future permitting decisions. Later in the month, we hit the road for the Gippsland Offshore Wind Developer Engagement Days — connecting with local communities in Toora, Loch Sport, and Woodside. We answered questions, listened to feedback, and had some great conversations over a sausage sizzle supported by the local Lions Clubs International! 🌭 💬 On-the-ground engagement is what helps us go #BeyondEnergy — together. 📸 Check out the snaps below! 👇 #ProudtoBeOW
