Citi's report on stablecoins is perfectly timed to match nine EU banks issuing a euro stablecoin as banks fight back! The MiCAR-compliant euro-denominated stablecoin will be launched by a consortium of nine major European banks: ING, Banca Sella, KBC, Danske Bank, DekaBank, UniCredit, SEB, CaixaBank and Raiffeisen Bank International. This EU consortium is a great example of how banks will fight back against the loss of their payment dominance to stablecoin providers. The message from EU banks is clear: they're not giving up payments without a fight. But US and EU banks aren't just hitting back against stablecoin providers. Because they're banks, they have another trick up their sleeve that stablecoin providers can't match, "bank tokens." Citi states: "The bank token market could easily become bigger than stablecoins. The world’s largest banks already transfer $5 trillion to $10 trillion daily through existing payment systems." "If only 1 percent of these volumes moved over to “bank tokens”, this would amount to $12.5 trillion -$25 trillion at individual big global banks on an annual basis." Citi's bullish estimate of the stablecoin market is $4 trillion. "A key advantage of 'bank tokens' is that they often do not require entirely new plumbing from the end-user perspective." Do not underestimate this significant advantage for bank tokens over stablecoins. Citi downplays the "format war" and sees stablecoins and bank tokens as progress to smarter, faster finance. Bunk! Citibank isn't fooling anyone! Banks will come after stablecoin providers with claws out and do anything possible to maintain their dominance in payments. #Blockchain-enabled #ZeroTrust Architecture in #IOT environments - This research introduces a novel framework, “Unified Quantum-Resilient Blockchain-ZeroKnowledge Proofs Privacy Authentication Framework (QBC-ZKPAF).” The objective is to enhance the security of #IoTEnvironments. To enable privacy-preserving authentication, access control, and secure communication, the framework integrates #Blockchain technology with  Zero Trust Architecture (#ZTA) and post-quantum cryptography. The following are the first-level features of this solution: > A hybrid Reinforcement-Lattice Blockchain KeyGen for quantum-resilient key generation, > Deep Q-Network Multi-Factor Secure Key (DQN-MFSK) for dynamic selection of keys, and > Zero-Knowledge Proof (#ZKP) for privacy-preserving signatures is employed to achieve secure #IoT settings. This architecture entails: ^ #DataPrivacy and confidentiality, ^ Auditability and #Traceability, and ^ Withstanding evolving threats, including potential threats in terms of #QuantumAttacks. It then utilises #Blockchain technology for recording unalterable data of identity and access management, while Zero-Knowledge Proofs (#ZKP) ensure authentication and verification without revealing sensitive information. By decentralizing identity management and enabling multi-factor authentication, QBC-ZKPAF provides robust security and privacy solutions for IoT networks. The experimental results demonstrate: + The model’s effectiveness with 98% privacy preservation, + 700 TPS throughput, + 0.7 J energy consumption, + 0.98 quantum resilience, and + 96% access control effectiveness, making it highly suitable for modern IoT and blockchain applications.
