Presente progresivo rules
- 2. El Presente Progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que suceden en el mismo momento en que se está hablando, por ejemplo: He is studying the lesson. Él está estudiando la lección. I am speaking English. Yo estoy hablando inglés. You are reading a book. Tú estás leyendo un libro.
- 3. REGLA 1 Todos los verbos de una sola silaba con vocal en el medio de dos consonantes, duplican la última consonante y se agrega ING Sit Sitting Run Set Running Setting
- 4. REGLA 2 Cuando el verbo tenga dos silabas y la ultima silaba es una vocal en medio de dos consonantes, se marca el acento en la última silaba. Se duplica la última consonante y se agrega ING Begin Beginning Forget Admit Forgetting Admitting
- 5. REGLA 3 Cuando el verbo termina en la letra E, se borra la E y se agrega ING Waste Wasting Write Close Writing Closing
- 6. REGLA 4 Los verbos que terminen en IE, se cambia IE por Y, y se agrega se agrega ING, Lie Lying Tie Die Tying Dying
- 7. REGLA 5 Verbos cuya ultima silaba tenga vocal en medio de dos consonantes terminados en W – X no se le aplica la primer regla Draw Drawing Fix Fixing
- 8. REGLA 6 Al resto de terminaciones se agrega ING Wait Waiting Jump Work Jumping Working Ski Skiing Go Install Going Installing
- 10. AFIRMATIVAS I am studying here He is writing in the note book They are installing the software
- 11. NEGATIVA I am not studying here He is not writing in the note book They are not installing the software
- 12. INTERROGATIVA Are you studying here? Is He writing in the note book? Are They installing the software?
- 13. Para el pasado Progresivo se utiliza el pasado del verbo To be: Was / Were Were They installing the software? They were not installing the software They were installing the software
