From London to New York, Ellie Perham-Marchant's 10-year journey with #TeamFTI is a testament to what’s possible when early talent meets opportunity. Get to know her below. What makes FTI Consulting a great place to work?    Ellie: You can truly carve out your career here through exciting projects where every day is different, expert colleagues and the exposure to so many learning and development opportunities. On top of that, what makes FTI Consulting such a great place to work is its people and culture – it has that rare combination of being both a large global firm and having a strong community feel. How did FTI Consulting’s internship program prepare you for a full-time role?   Ellie: Being in a cohort of interns going through training and in different teams resulted in a lot of knowledge-sharing and networking. It enabled me to hit the ground running in my full-time role and also gave me a ready-made support network that I continue to rely on, with many of us still at FTI Consulting and friends to this day. What was the biggest cultural change moving from London to NYC?   Ellie: While there are a lot of similarities as they are both big, global cities, the pace and energy of NYC is unmatched! I’ve been struck by the entrepreneurialism and hustle that are central to New York’s culture, which makes it such an exciting place to be. What is something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?   Ellie: I’ve always loved learning other languages and cultures, so living abroad has been fantastic to experience that. Having previously lived in France and now living in the U.S., I’ve enjoyed exploring new places and immersing myself in new cultures and traditions. Fortunately, English (U.S.) hasn’t been too tricky to get to grips with!

  • Senior Managing Director Luciano Lindemann leapt into the world of consulting 10 years ago and has been helping clients navigate financial challenges since. Below, the restructuring expert discusses his journey with #TeamFTI, career trajectory and passions outside of work. What was your first impression of FTI Consulting, and how has that evolved? Luciano: I was introduced to FTI Consulting by a friend who works as an insolvency lawyer in Brazil and had good experiences with the firm. At that time, the Brazil office had only been open for a few years, and our brand was still not very well known locally. My first contact was more out of curiosity, trying to better understand a consulting firm that focuses on helping clients in crisis. However, after meeting the professionals and learning more about the firm and its success stories, I was truly impressed and decided to dive in. Since then, I’ve become increasingly enthusiastic about FTI Consulting’s approach to tackling and solving clients’ most complex challenges. What is your favorite #TeamFTI memory? Luciano: There have been many memorable moments, from traveling with the team to different countries to support a variety of business restructurings, to the many team-building events we’ve had. It’s hard to choose just one favorite memory. But I have a special appreciation for the year-end celebrations at our São Paulo office and the football games we organize. It’s always great to see how our team integration goes far beyond our daily work. When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in consulting? Luciano: Before joining FTI Consulting, my career had been built in the treasury of large multinational companies. I had never really pictured myself working as a consultant. But right from my first projects supporting clients in distress, I realized how dynamic, intense and rewarding this kind of work is. After 10 years at the firm and dozens of projects delivered, I can’t imagine going back to working in a single function or for just one company. The fast-paced nature of consulting is truly captivating. Do you have a hobby that might surprise people? Luciano: I’d say my three big hobbies are football, music and traveling. Something that’s been bringing me a lot of joy is passing on to my daughters the love that my wife and I share for traveling and exploring new places and cultures. It’s really fun to plan our next destinations together. I believe that this kind of cultural enrichment will be something amazing for them to carry throughout their lives.

Eleanor Mobley, an economics and environmental analysis major at Pitzer College, is interning with our Construction, Projects & Assets team in Seattle this summer. Get to know her below! What has been your favorite part about interning at FTI Consulting? Ellie: The best part of my internship has been working alongside thoughtful, driven professionals who genuinely value mentorship and collaboration. From the very beginning, I felt both supported and challenged and was trusted with meaningful responsibilities on projects that had real impact. How would you describe FTI Consulting in three words? Ellie: Mentorship-focused, intentional, adaptable. Why did you choose to pursue degrees in economics and environmental science? Ellie: I began solely as an environmental science major, drawn by a long-standing interest in sustainability. After my first semester, I became equally curious about the economic forces shaping environmental outcomes. That led me to pursue a double major and explore how the two fields intersect and diverge. What is something most people don’t know about you? Ellie: I used to have a pet emu! #TeamFTI #Intern
