One year ago, we officially planted a flag on U.S. soil 🇺🇸 🎉 Since, the counter-UAS landscape has shifted in a big way, and so have we. Read all about a year of rapid change as we recap our ties to America and unpick CUAS in the USA: https://lnkd.in/eezDtBaJ Since opening a physical office in Ashburn, Virginia, we've doubled our U.S. team, expanded deployments, and strengthened partnerships with defense, aerospace, and federal agencies. We hit headlines, too 👀 As drones dart from fringe threat to frontline concern, the U.S. is highlighting both the potential and the peril of uncrewed aerial systems. That’s forcing a new kind of readiness. In the past year, we’ve supported the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in active no-drone zones, integrated with leading U.S. defense innovators, and proven our systems in live demo events nationwide. The work continues for even greater integration, faster response, and sharper awareness of what's flying overhead. We’re proud to be a part of everything that comes next. We’ll spotlight how we optimize these capabilities in our unique 3D drone radar, IRIS, at the upcoming IDGA Counter UAS. We hope to touch base soon in Washington D.C. #CounterUAS #DroneThreat #RadarTechnology #AviationSecurity #PublicSafety #NationalSecurity #Aerospace #DefenseTech

Our technologies may be ahead of the pack, but our people make us great. Looking for an innovative adventure that spans the globe? Join ours! https://www.robinradar.com/careers Bird Strike Prevention in Aviation Our bird radar systems monitor and store bird movements around the clock. With MAX, you get 3D, 360° awareness, 365 days a year. As well as bringing awareness to a whole new level, our radars provide key insights, like data trends and activity hotspots, to assess and strengthen strategies and KPIs. Bird Monitoring at Wind Farms Increasingly, permits to build wind farms are given under the pre-condition that bird movements are continuously monitored before, during and after construction. Our 3D avian radars simultaneously detect and log thousands of birds and bats, providing extensive reporting for your wind farm’s smooth development and operation. MAX can even detect the beginning of mass migrations and, if needed, trigger the temporary shutdown of single or groups of turbines. Protect wildlife, minimise downtime. Drone Detection in Critical Environments Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or ‘drones’ bring new opportunities, but also severe safety and security threats. We believe advanced detection is your first line of defence, so our systems are deployable, integrate seamlessly, and provide 360° coverage, even on the move. Our purpose-built drone detection radar, IRIS, can detect, track, and automatically distinguish birds from drones.

Hello from the AAAE North American Aviation Wildlife Management Conference 🇺🇸👋 Our passionate team, Willem-Jan Derks, Astrid Mansell - van den Boogaardt and Tom Nolan, are in Portland until Thursday with MAX. Stop by and meet our 3D avian radar, built to support proactive, data-driven wildlife hazard management. Bird strikes remain a critical safety and operational concern in aviation, but thankfully, this industry is an incredibly innovative one. We created MAX for unparalleled bird detection. With advanced filtering options, MAX cuts through the noise to empower bird controllers with the activity they need to see, where and when they need to see it. With 360° coverage and full 3D tracking, MAX captures flight paths, size, speed, and altitude of birds. It has a long memory, too, so teams can make the most of long-term data to develop airtight wildlife management policies, unique to their airports and air bases. We'd be glad to explain how airports and air bases all over the globe are using MAX to curb bird strike risk, come say hello! #AviationWildlife2025 #BirdStrikePrevention #AvianRadar #AirportSafety #WildlifeHazardManagement

The defence industry is scaling, but long-term vision remains key. Marcel Verdonk, Robin CCO, was recently interviewed by Omroep West on the matter and how the shift impacts innovative SMEs like ours. Read the full interview (in Dutch), here: https://lnkd.in/eXd25qdX With counter-drone demand surging and €1.1 billion in new investment from the Dutch Ministry of Defence, growth opportunities are clear. But the question remains. Can SMEs scale sustainably without long-term commitment? Agile companies are ready to deliver, but long-term growth demands structural support. As Marcel put it: "We expect to scale up significantly in the coming years, but translating plans to policy, then to specific projects and tenders, can be difficult. Those things don’t always move at the same speed. "We can deliver within a few months, but we'd like to see multi-year contracts from the Netherlands and other governments. This will mean we can actually finance the pace at which we need to scale. “We're working hard on this together, with the Ministry of Defence and industry organisations, partly because we're expected to invest heavily upfront. We're looking for a model to attract more long-term tenders for SMEs.” #defenceindustry #counterdrone #scalingup #radartechnology #longtermimpact #Dutchdefence #thoughtleadership

Back in May, we marked Migratory Bird Day with an exclusive boutique seminar! 🐦 We teamed up to run a specialised event with the Occhio in Oasi Association. The event gathered researchers, regulators, and environmental stakeholders from across Italy and beyond. Within this passionate and knowledgeable collection, we took the chance to explore some pressing concerns. How can we protect migrating birds from the adverse impact of wind farms, and prevent bird strikes at airports? These infrastructures both pose a soaring risk to birdlife, as well as a severe safety concern through dangerous strikes with planes. Elevating safety at airports and balancing collision risk at wind farms starts with understanding what's happening in the sky. That's where our avian radar, MAX, comes in. The data it provides benefits both of these very different but adaptive and innovative industries. Held in northern Italy’s wetland region, the seminar bridged insights across sectors and countries, sharing best practices on a global scale. Sessions covered both onshore and offshore wind energy, as well as airport environments, with discussions rooted in real-world case studies. Robin Radar’s Sibylle Giraud led a session on our approach to early detection and data-driven mitigation practices. Jens van Erp also presented on how to extract and maximise the potential of avian radar data, followed by a live demonstration of MAX. Sibylle said: "It was a privilege to demonstrate our MAX system in such a remarkable setting. The event centred around how the radar can provide precise, actionable data to enhance safety for both humans and birds, and we'd like to thank everyone who joined us!" #WorldMigratoryBirdDay #WindEnergy #AirportSafety #AvianMonitoring #EnvironmentalImpactAssessment #BirdStrikePrevention
