📍 Poly Fort Yongchang Culture and Art Center / SHUISHI + Weimar Group Located along the banks of the Yongchang River in Longwan District, this cultural center draws on the rich historical context of Fort Yongchang, a 400-year-old Ming Dynasty fortress, to create a space that bridges heritage and contemporary design. Designed by SHUISHI with landscape by Weimar Group, the project integrates local garden traditions, water elements, and minimalist spatial language to create a quiet dialogue between architecture and nature. Initially functioning as a temporary sales center, the building will later serve as the permanent cultural and arts hub of the Longwan Tourism Scenic Area, offering a multifunctional public space that reflects the spirit of Jiangnan’s landscapes and Oriental aesthetics. 📐 Developers: Poly Developments & Holdings 🌳 Landscape: Weimar Group Shanghai Dept.
