    It’s here! Issue number two of Untrended from Publicis Pro - a fantastic B2B newspaper that is brilliantly written, with some wonderful takes on what’s happening in the B2B World and injecting some fun and nostalgia into our industry. My favourite parts of this edition: 💩The Rise and Rise of LinkedIn Sh*tposting We’ve all seen the posts “comment ‘playbook” and I’ll DM how to get from zero to £1m ARR in a year” etc. usually AI focused and sometimes with the added ask to follow 🙄 An excellent breakdown, a brief history and what it serves. I’ve been tracking and engaging with many of these over the last couple of months and will share my findings in a post soon… 🤔 Which office persona are you? A great bit of fun and I definitely didn’t think I’d land on the personality hire 👀😂…better get working! 👨🏾🎨The Rise of Ugly Design and what it means for B2B Ugly design is a deliberate choice being used by some companies to great effect, giving that retro feel. Loving the section on ‘Butters B2B’ and push/pull of the status quo vs rule breaking. And one of the things I'm proudest of all these years later, is keeping a Best Place to Work agency culture that has endured 24 years of growth and setbacks, agency rebrands and an acquisition by Publicis Groupe UK, the biggest and best out there.     One of the things I'm most proud of at work is our #TurningPro initiative, in partnership with the amazing The Talent Foundry. Here at Publicis Pro we think that there is not enough help and support for young adults in entering the scary world of work.  Covid hit hard, schools and teachers do their best but are stretched, work seems distant and unattainable unless you 'know someone' and in many cases confidence and aspiration is low. And many businesses don't really 'do' work experience any more. So we wanted to do something about it. We love our jobs in the B2B part of the marketing sector - geeking out on the way businesses think, buy and sell stuff - and we wanted to share this energy and some of the things we get up to every day with real kids, in real schools and make real impact.  Our goal? To inspire just a few young people to think about a career in business marketing or the wider creative industries and give them a nudge on the path to employment. And our unofficial motto "If we help just one kid to Turn Pro, we're happy". So far we've been to four London schools and met over 200 young students already this academic year and it's been so rewarding, insightful and grounding to be part of. So to welcome some of the cohort stars into our office was a real treat and great way to end the term! They got to work on a 'real life' brief inspired by our client TikTok, do a career workshop with Pub Pro volunteers and hear from the Publicis Groupe UK talent team about our early years careers programme. They even got the posh pastries that we reserve for clients 🙂 It was so good to see them engage, sparkle and quiz us during our chats throughout the morning. So have a great summer Turning Pro Grads and stay hungry!
