This weekend, the Broward County Library hosted a family-friendly hurricane preparedness event filled with giveaways, safety presentations and hands-on activities for all ages. Our very own Deserene “Desi” Curry, RN, MSN-Ed, Trauma Management Specialist & Outreach Coordinator at Broward Health North, led an engaging Stop the Bleed demonstration, equipping attendees with lifesaving first aid skills to use in an emergency. Thank you to the library for bringing the community together, and to all who joined us in taking steps toward a safer hurricane season.
