Shout out to the 50 amazing volunteers from NYC's Summer Youth Employment Program who delivered meals to their older neighbors last week with our partners at the University Settlement Society of New York.

One day. 68 volunteers. 194 hours. More than 1,450 meals delivered or packed for older New Yorkers! 💙 Dedicated volunteers from Crowe made their Crowe Cares Day of service count — supporting our partners at Encore Community Services, the Stanley Isaacs Center at Goddard Riverside and the Carter Burden Network. Citymeals recipient Bernie, 89, was born for the stage. He moved to New York at 18 to pursue his dream of becoming a dancer. He was also a drag performer and magician, traveling the world for decades with his show. “I’ve never met another drag queen who did magic. I was unique!”"

For the second year in a row, amazing volunteers from GFP Real Estate brought their team spirit to our Distribution Center. 65 volunteers packed nearly 8,000 meals for their older neighbors in need! Thank you for supporting Citymeals' work ending elder hunger in New York City. 💙

We deliver extra meals and pantry staples before heat waves hit, so our homebound neighbors don’t have to brave the weather. Recipients often write to us about how much the deliveries mean to them.
