#WomenInDigitalImpact Series: Building an Inclusive Digital Future What does progress toward #genderequality in the #digitalsector look like, and how can we measure it? In this series, we show how Connecting Women In Digital will drive forward the #impact of the investments made throughout the DIGITAL Programme, leveraging data, knowledge and networks to deliver on the ambitions of the #DigitalDecade & act at the core of the Women in Digital Declaration. 📊 Today we spotlight our first impact first pillar: tracking progress and supporting #digitalinclusion. We're building a comprehensive overview of national, regional and local digital strategies, helping Member States align with the ambitions of the #WomeninDigitalDeclaration and the goals of the Digital Decade. At the same time, our annual #WomeninDigitalIndex and Scoreboard will serve as both a mirror and a catalyst: showing how far we have come, identifying successful initiatives, and creating the evidence base needed to strengthen #womenparticipation in #digitalcareers. 💪 We're committed to turning data into meaningful action, ensuring every progress is visible and every success can be replicated. 🔗 https://widigital.eu

📢 Contribute to shaping the future of Women in Digital across Europe Earlier this summer, we published the “Overview of National Actions” (Deliverable D2.1), led by Simona Ramanauskaitė & VILNIUS TECH - Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The report builds on existing sources and EU dashboards, but we are aware that some national and regional efforts may still be missing. To make sure every country’s landscape is accurately represented, we invite stakeholders to share their input before the consultation closes: 1️⃣ Share additional Women in Digital initiatives: https://lnkd.in/dhFyiR7f 2️⃣ Provide feedback on the current analysis of your country’s landscape: https://lnkd.in/dRPJxhXT Your contributions will help ensure a more complete picture and feed into the Women in Digital Report, to be presented at the Women in Digital Summit this November. ⏳With the deadline on 29 August 2025, there are only a few days left to take part. ℹ️Full deliverable: https://lnkd.in/dcGSfJxJ #WomenInDigital #DigitalInclusion #EUGenderEquality #WIDCON #DigitalDecade

🔭 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗔 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗘 A better future shaped by fairness in the #digitalworld begins with strategic foresight. The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) has released a new guide that offers practical tools for integrating #futuresthinking into #gender equality work. 📓 Designed for #policymakers, #researchers, and #practitioners, the guide introduces a four-step workshop model to identify key trends, analyse their impact, and #cocreate strategic responses. It blends #academic, #corporate, and #feministforesight traditions and supports users with or without prior experience. The structured format focuses on prioritising future issues, mapping implications using tools like the #futureswheel, exploring alternative pathways, and connecting long-term thinking with actionable strategies. We at Connecting Women In Digital are highlighting this guide as a valuable resource for communities working at the intersection of #gender, #technology, and #policy. 👁️🗨️ Read our blog article and access the full guide: https://lnkd.in/d9dVDxbg

❓ "What are gender statistics" ❓ 💬 According to the United Nations Manual, #genderstatistics are "statistics that adequately reflect differences and inequalities in the situation of women and men in all areas of life". These insights are essential for understanding realities, shaping effective policies, and monitoring progress. That’s exactly what the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) #GenderStatisticsDatabase delivers: a comprehensive, regularly updated hub that brings together sex-disaggregated and #gendersensitivedata from the EU. This one-stop resource makes it easier to: ✔ Understand differences and inequalities between women and men ✔ Support evidence-based #policymaking ✔ Track progress towards #genderequality across thematic areas such as work & #labourmarket to #research and #digitalsociety, #education,#health, #livingconditions, time use, and more. Accessible to both experts and non-experts, the database draws on #EIGE’s own surveys, Eurostat, and other trusted sources, ensuring reliable, timely, and comparable data. 🔗 Explore the database: https://lnkd.in/egAiZpj #GenderEquality #GenderData #Inclusion #Policy #Research
