Over the last several weeks, we’ve worked closely with Kushal Thakkar and the team at Anthropic to define their metrics API, which they released to GA today. Thanks to the partnership, DX was the first to release an out-of-the-box connector to the API. Our customers have already been connecting to Claude Code, but we're excited to announce this connector that makes it much easier. With DX, you can track how teams use Claude, see where adoption is lagging, and correlate usage with outcomes like improved throughput, quality, and developer experience. Cursor analytics are now available directly in DX’s AI impact dashboard, giving you a clear view of how Cursor is being used across your organization. While we’re formally announcing this today, we already have >100 customers using the integration to measure AI adoption and impact. It’s been a great experience partnering with Nate Schmidt and the Cursor team and seeing the positive impact Cursor is making in our joint customers firsthand. We’re seeing that Cursor is one of the most impactful and loved AI tools across our customer base, and I’m excited to keep supporting our customers with deeper insights. Now, when you open DX… - If you’re a manager, you’ll see a daily command center with real-time metrics and insights, with the ability to configure alerts directly through Slack or Teams. - If you’re an IC, you’ll get a single view of your recent work and open items. - Executives see a high-level roll-up of key metrics across teams.

What happens when developers start using tools like Cursor more frequently? At DX, we can correlate AI usage with any SDLC metric. You can instantly see if heavy Cursor users are able to spend more time on feature development, or if increased usage correlates with longer cycle times and harder-to-understand code.

Everyone wants to measure AI impact, but they need to start by measuring and driving adoption. Most companies I talk to don't have full adoption of these tools. Fewer feel confident that everyone's using them effectively. To track AI adoption in DX, we pull in adoption data directly from leading vendors like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q, and more. Once adoption data is in, you can view and analyze it in several ways: - Use the AI utilization report to understand overall and tool-specific AI adoption - Analyze AI usage on a team and persona level to spot gaps where adoption is lagging - Send event-based, in-the-moment surveys to see which AI use cases are working best - Identify power users who can promote successful approaches You can also create custom attributes for deeper comparisons. For example, you could tag developers in an enablement cohort and track their usage before and after the training. Once you understand how these tools are being used, how often, and who is using them, you can start measuring impact accurately.
