Had a great conversation with TBPN about what we're building at Intramotev and the path forward for getting freight rail back on track in the United States.
Timothy Luchini (CEO, Intramotev) on what would actually make U.S. rail competitive again: “To make rail better, you just need to keep the stuff on the rails moving more frequently.” “We do not need to rebuild anything, we need to unlock the existing network and uncongest it. That alone can make rail extremely competitive.” “Regulators have been very open to these technologies.” Intramotev is deploying in unregulated segments first, collecting the data needed to certify for regulated use cases, then bringing those capabilities onto the broader system. Technology's daily show. Follow TBPN on LinkedIn for more.

Today, we're moving a boxcar of tomato sauce for our customer Eagle Drayage, a family-owned company that has delivered goods across the Midwest for over 100 years. We're honored to help support their operations. TugVolt technology not only enables independent material movement, but can also be used to move small numbers of railcars safely and reliably.

This morning, our CEO Timothy Luchini joined KMOX | Audacy to talk about what we're building at Intramotev. Thanks to Chris and Amy for the great conversation!

This week, Intramotev has officially delivered 3,000 carloads of limestone totaling more than 200,000 tons of material for Carmeuse Americas. To mark this milestone, we’re sharing some newer footage of this technology in operation at our Cedarville Operation in, Michigan. When it comes to helping customers transform their rail operations, this is just the beginning. #Carmeuse #Intramotev #MiningInnovation #Sustainability

“Right now in St. Louis, we have a huge opportunity to be the first to bring autonomous rail, which offers speed, flexibility, low cost, and the best transportation system for any type of freight. And that really is a paradigm shift." Check out our CEO's interview in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch below ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gJKeJWk2

Today, history was made as elite athletes from across the company gathered to compete in the inaugural Intramotev Olympiad! Events included a paper airplane flying contest, the MarioKart Grand Prix, the fiercely contested “TugVolt of War,” and high-stakes noodle tower engineering. Thanks to everyone on the team who came out and competed. It’s a good thing we all have day jobs.

Got to see a demo of Intramotev autonomous rail car at reindustralize a few weeks back. With a click of a button they start moving rail cars with their self-propelling system. This is incredibly cool tech that could revolutionize how we move freight around the globe.

Last week, we gathered over 400 founders, investors, and public leaders at The 23rd—a 380,000 sq-ft manufacturing campus in Southwest Detroit, adjacent to the 30-acre Michigan Central Innovation District—to celebrate the founders and technologies shaping the future of mobility. As part of Reindustrialize’s closing day, the evening was both a look ahead at what it takes to build, test, and deploy critical technologies at scale, and a celebration of the innovators making it happen. Eighteen critical technology startups including, Intramotev’s independently moving battery-electric railcars, Aerialoop’s unmanned aerial systems, and Safire Technology Group, Inc.’s electric tactical vehicles showcased why Michigan is fast becoming a destination for scaling transformative technologies. The 23rd was built to expand the innovation ecosystem in Detroit by serving the founders scaling out of Newlab at Michigan Central. With flexible lease footprints starting at 500 sq ft, 5–50 ton cranes, reinforced cement floors, 10 truck docks, and a private rail spur, The 23rd provides the infrastructure to grow. Beyond space, startups gain access to supply chain coordination, contract manufacturing, and on-site logistics—powered by Beacon Manufacturing and 23rd Street Holdings. This is the start of something bigger: proving how cities like Detroit, with deep industrial roots, can power a new generation of production for the technologies the world needs next. Thank you to Michigan Central and Reindustrialize for their continued partnership. Learn more about The 23rd on our blog: https://lnkd.in/gMiUtPvS
