  • As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors, our company recently had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Dr. Mahad bin Said Baawain, Minister of Labour, to our headquarters in Salalah. During the visit, we presented a brief overview of our operations and work processes, followed by productive discussions focused on Omanization, associated challenges, and future development plans. His Excellency also toured our office facilities, engaged with employees, and concluded the visit with a group photo to commemorate this meaningful occasion. We are grateful for the opportunity to exchange insights and further our commitment to national development through strategic partnerships. #Collaboration #Oman #CommitedToGrowth

Today, we held a working visit with Belgium’s Minister of Economy, David Clarinval, and members of The Shift vzw/asbl at an industrial site in Aisemont. With this initiative, participating members Carmeuse, Cofinimmo, Colas Belgium, Jan De Nul Group & VELUX aim to show that competitiveness and circularity go hand in hand, delivering a triple benefit: - Less dependence on raw materials and energy, hence lower costs - Circular investment creates local, non-offshorable employment - Reusing materials reduces pressure on the environnement and public health If we want to make circular business the competitive default – cutting costs and CO₂ while creating local jobs, the Belgian economy needs coherent standards and targeted incentives, a level playing field for circular products and a federal catalyst role to coordinate regions, steer public procurement and fast-track permitting. At The Shift, we care deeply about having the voice of our members heard in the public debate. Thank you to David Clarinval and the participating business leaders for their open-minded spirit and constructive dialogue. #CircularEconomy #Competitiveness #PublicProcurement #WeMakeTheShift

  • When a company's dedication is visible in our local communities, it builds a shared sense of pride and community trust. This story is a powerful example of how Carmeuse's commitment to safety resonates beyond the workplace. I never realized how many people in the community looked at our safe days sign each day as they pass the plant. Recently, we worked on a transformer and with the power interruption, the sign reset to zero. People in the community were genuinely concerned. Kids who were counting up with us each day as they passed were crushed. Thankfully we got the sign reset and let the community know on social media the streak was still going and not to worry.

  • 🌟 Empowering Young Innovators in Dhofar (Oman)🌟 We’re proud to share the success of the Together We Innovate Program in Oman, an initiative proudly supported by the Carmeuse Foundation. 🎓 More than 100 students from universities, colleges, and schools across Dhofar Governorate took part in a friendly competition to develop creative solutions that contribute to their region’s growth, aligned with Oman Vision 2040. 💡 Over 70 projects were submitted, and in May, participants had the chance to present their ideas at a public exhibition, followed by an award ceremony celebrating the most promising innovations. 🏆 It was a proud moment to see the enthusiasm, creativity, and potential of Oman’s future innovators. 💡 Why we support initiatives like this: They foster innovation and an entrepreneurship spirit among youth. They assist the student in the launch of local startups. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this program possible and to the students who inspired us with their vision for a better tomorrow. 🎉 #CaringAboutPeople #CarmeuseFoundation #CSR #YouthEmpowerment #EducationMatters #OmanVision2040
