There are few industries undergoing greater disruption in the Era of AI than the one I've spent my whole career in: Consulting. So why are some consulting companies growing while others are shrinking? Three reasons for this dichotomy:   1) Some companies are still advising while others are doing. The pace of innovation is scorching and the pressure to do more with less is everywhere. This isn't a convenient time for long-running strategy engagements or 6-month assessments. Consultancies that weave together business experience, technical acumen, and AI-powered delivery methods to innovate at pace on behalf of their clients will continue to rise in the days ahead. 2) Some companies are following the sun while others are getting the job done before sunset. Many large consultancies are overleveraged with enormous delivery centers around the globe, while other, time-zone friendly firms are doing a better job reading the room because, well... they're in the room. Some transformational projects are still ideal for the offshore delivery model -- just not the ones that require active stakeholder involvement during standard business hours. Business People don't get on the phone at 10:30PM for project status updates, and make no mistake, the business has absolutely taken its seat at the table in the #EraOfAI. 3) Some consultancies are naval-gazing while others are out in the market listening to and learning alongside their clients. No doubt AI is massively disruptive for businesses in all industries, but the death knell for any customer service business is inward focus and self-absorption. When I read articles like this one about McKinsey & Co. and hear from distracted friends in large firms about all the reorgs and layoff concerns, I feel blessed to be at a consulting firm that can simply focus on helping its clients harness the strength of AI to empower its people and win market share. • When AI strategists and implementation teams seem to speak different languages, it often comes down to one fundamental concept: how we think about automation. Your technical teams have years of experience building reliable, predictable systems—and that expertise is incredibly valuable. The challenge isn't resistance to change; it's bridging two different approaches to problem-solving. In this clip, David Jitendranath explains the key distinction between traditional deterministic workflows and AI's non-deterministic approach—and why both have their place in your organization. Understanding this difference will help you have more productive conversations with your implementation teams and identify the right use cases where AI's adaptive nature truly shines. Perfect for AI strategists looking to build stronger alignment with their technical teams.

  • LLMs can’t deliver value if your data is still out of reach. Until recently, querying enterprise-scale data with AI required custom engineering and brittle frameworks. With Microsoft Fabric Data Agents, that barrier is disappearing. In this month’s newsletter, we explore: ◻️How Fabric Data Agents simplify data access ◻️Common use cases ◻️How Fabric Data Agents and Copilot for Fabric work together 📰 Read the full newsletter → https://loom.ly/IOlp4-s

    Healthcare Practice Leader

The #1 Challenge in Healthcare Isn’t Technology. It’s People. Clinician burnout and staffing shortages have become the defining crisis of healthcare in 2025. Providers are stretched thin, spending nearly 2 hours on administrative work for every hour with patients—a formula that’s unsustainable for both people and organizations. At Lantern, we help health systems turn data and AI into tools that give time back to clinicians. Using Microsoft Copilot and advanced analytics, we: 1. Automate documentation and reporting to reduce clerical burden. 2. Surface insights from EHRs and claims in seconds, not hours, to inform decisions faster. 3. Build role-specific copilots that streamline workflows without adding complexity. Because solving burnout isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter. How is your organization approaching workforce sustainability? #HealthcareInnovation #AI #MicrosoftCopilot #Burnout #WorkforceTransformation

  • AI can’t deliver value if your data is trapped. Most organizations store 70–90% of their data in unstructured formats, which makes it difficult to access, integrate, or learn from. In this Lantern Minute, PTS Jeff Johnston breaks down how RAG (retrieval augmented generation) unlocks that hidden value without the need for a centralized data platform.
