Just wrapped up an incredible week in Juneau for the Bitcoin Alaska Conference! It was a unique and powerful gathering set against one of the most stunning backdrops imaginable. I had the opportunity to join a panel on how universities are approaching Bitcoin, and it was a real privilege to share the work we’re doing at the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation, particularly around Bitcoin mining education and research. Even more meaningful was connecting with other forward-thinking universities that are engaging this space with the seriousness it deserves. Grateful to the organizers and everyone who made this event happen. It was an energizing few days spent with a sharp, mission-driven group of Bitcoiners. Alaska is shaping up to be a new frontier for Bitcoin mining and policy, and I’m excited to stay engaged however I can.

Last week I had the privilege to attend the Bitcoin Policy Summit in Washington D.C., hosted by the Bitcoin Policy Institute. This year's summit marked a real shift in how Bitcoin is being discussed at the federal policy level. For the first time, there was a clear bipartisan willingness to engage seriously with Bitcoin on its own terms not just as a subset of “crypto,” but as a distinct, policy-relevant technology with national and global implications. Credit goes to the BPI and its fellows, who continue to do the hard work of educating policymakers, grounding the conversation in research, and elevating the level of discourse in Washington. It’s no small task, and they’re doing it with clarity and conviction. If you're working in or around Bitcoin and care about how U.S. policy shapes its future, keep an eye on what the BPI is doing. They’re setting the standard.
