Americans can expect to spend 15% of their lives suffering from disease, and by age 65, over 85% of individuals will live with at least one chronic condition. Decades of research have established clear relationships between lifestyle behaviors and physiological metrics with important health outcomes like morbidity and mortality. Healthspan, a feature we introduced with the launch of 5.0 and MG, interprets key WHOOP metrics in the context of this research, giving members an unprecedented view of how their daily behaviors impact their long-term health. Two main metrics are provided within Healthspan: WHOOP Age and Pace of Aging. WHOOP Age is a measure of your physiological age, which can be younger or older than your actual, chronological age. This metric is harder to move and updates more gradually over time, offering a long-term view of your physiological health. Pace of Aging measures how quickly your WHOOP Age is changing.
