🚀 Exploring the Future of Architectural Visualization with AI I recently conducted a quick experiment showcasing the incredible potential of new generative AI tools for architectural design, using Istanbul's iconic Çamlıca Tower as a subject. The workflow was a two-step process: Static Renders with Nano Bana: I started with a single image of the tower. Using Nano Bana, I generated two distinct frames: one preserving the tower's original materials and a second reimagining it with a classic red brick facade. What's truly impressive is Nano Bana's ability to accurately interpret the geometry from a flat image, allowing for the generation of multiple viewing angles and precise material changes. Dynamic Transition with Veo 3: To bring the concept to life, I then used Veo 3 to generate a seamless video that shows the tower's facade transitioning dynamically from its original state to the red brick alternative. This powerful combination demonstrates a future where architects and designers can rapidly prototype and visualize material changes in a dynamic video format, offering a more engaging and intuitive way to present design iterations to clients. What if Downtown Cairo was designed for pedestrians? Using the power of AI, I reimagined an old building and its streetscape into a restored, pedestrian-friendly vision. With NanoBanana, I cleaned façades, removed clutter, and added greenery in minutes — a process that would have taken hours with Photoshop’s generative fill (also AI, but much slower for architectural edits), or any other methods. From there, I generated: Isometric views Architectural elevations 3D models with Tripo AI → refined in Rhino And finally, an animated video bringing the vision to life.
