Excited to share that our first paper on open-source hardware for lab automation is now online: https://lnkd.in/g9H7UGm2 In this work, Victor Yin designed the Kamome sample positioning and scanning system, working closely with Clara Tamura and Zuyang Ye. This 3D-printed, portable, and low-cost kit has become a critical part of our inline characterisation workflow. It’s incredible how “LEGO-style” lab automation can save significant time, improve reproducibility, and still maintain the flexibility needed for experimental design.
