Launched in 2011 and discontinued in 2018, Lytro pioneered light field camera technology. Lytro's primary innovation was the ability to refocus images after they were taken, but this feature didn't resonate with a broad audience. Lytro targeted the "prosumer" photography market, but their products didn't offer the image quality or features that professionals demanded, nor did they appeal to casual photographers especially at its $1600 price point.

With the new X2D II 100C, long exposure photography enters a new era. Featuring advanced 5-axis, 10-stop in-body image stabilisation, the system enables photographers to shoot handheld exposures of up to 10 seconds while maintaining razor-sharp clarity. This breakthrough removes the traditional reliance on tripods, making it possible to capture flowing traffic, city lights in motion, or the stillness of lakes and night skies with freedom and precision. By combining medium format resolution with Hasselblad’s renowned colour science, every frame balances motion and silence in timeless detail. The result is not only technical excellence but also a new level of creative possibility for professionals who seek both flexibility and fidelity in challenging shooting conditions. 📸 IG: elegy_chen, X2D II 100C & XCD 20–35E #Hasselblad #X2DII #X2D2 #mediumformatcamera #100Megapixels #HasselbladNewCamera #Photography

Many think of ISO as the sensor's sensitivity, echoing film days. However, digital ISO is different. It adjusts the amplification of the electrical signal from the sensor, not the sensor itself. Increasing ISO brightens the image, but it also decreases signal quality, adding noise. It's a balance between brightness and clarity in digital photography. Understanding this helps photographers make informed decisions to capture the best possible image. #ISO #photography #digitalphotography #sensors #cameratricks
