On 27 March, the most well-known Europe-wide campaign on sustainable mobility is celebrating its award ceremony and preparatory workshops in Brussels. The event is hosted by the European Commission, and it will be attended by urban mobility professionals at the European, national, and local levels. During the workshops, participants will prepare for the 2025 theme: Mobility for Everyone (a response to transport poverty). The award ceremony will celebrate the achievements of cities from 2024.

Joint final event of MOVE21 and SCALE-UP

Join the final event of MOVE21 and SCALE-UP, two transformative EU-funded Horizon 2020 projects advancing urban mobility and multimodal transport solutions across Europe.

CONNECT: the new Circular Cities and Regions Initiative map 

Would you like an overview of the strategies European cities and regions are using to transition to a circular economy? This tool is designed to help you explore diverse approaches and best practices. 

The Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) advances the circular economy at local and regional levels by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and highlighting successful initiatives. SURVEY: National Restoration Law: are you in touch with your national government?

Have you been contacted by your national government regarding the implementation of the urban ecosystem restoration targets (article 8)? What’s the biggest challenge when it comes to local-national collaboration on nature? Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) have launched a survey and will share results in the upcoming second webinar of the NRL series on 9 April.

The European Commission invites European cities committed to sustainability to apply for the 2027 edition of the European Green Capital and Green Leaf Awards. These Awards recognise the efforts of European towns and cities that strive to reduce their local and global environmental impact while improving the quality of life for their inhabitants.

Winning cities will receive a financial prise and join the ever-growing network of leading European cities that share a common vision and expertise, inspiring others to follow their lead.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS to foster Citizens' engagement and participation

The European Commission has launched a call to support projects on promoting citizens' and representative associations’ participation and contribution to democratic and civic life in the EU. One of the priorities under which projects can be submitted is titled “Countering disinformation, information manipulation and interference in the democratic debate”.

Submit your proposal by 29 April 2025.


PUBLIC CONSULTATION on planned updates to rules on geospatial environmental data and access to environmental information

The Commission has opened a public consultation aiming to gather views on the issues identified in the evaluation of the INSPIRE Directive, namely how environmental data sharing could be made more effective and user-friendly, how to improve public-private data sharing, and what a potential dataspace adapted to the needs of environmental data users should look like.

Deadline: 30 April 2025.


HAVE YOUR SAY: EU's next long-term budget

The European Commission has opened a public consultation in preparation for the next multiannual financial framework (MFF) for the period 2028-2034. The consultation covers EU funds supporting cross-border education, training and solidarity, young people, media, culture and creative sectors, values, and civil society. Eurocities is preparing a contribution. Visit this page for more details.
